All humour aside, at the very least WAR has my favourite gap closer design-wise. Outside of the IR window and a few niche scenarios, the gap closer is used to... close gaps. As it should. In the heat of actual battle it feels the best to use and makes the most sense.
I honestly hate what they did with the other tanks... Especially using the same approach for three of them. Would have loved to see one have a damageless gap closer. Or maybe another has a free gap closer, but it has a minimum range of 10y so you can't really use it in a rotation but it's great for when something actually moves away. There's so many ways they could have done it though I guess homogenization is the flavour of Shadowbringers.
