    Didn't even think there was even total 500 different head pieces in the game. If that's the case most helmets and hats should been able to be worn by the new races.

    According to Eorzea Database, there's 1769. Though I'm sure a lot of them are just recolors.

    Even with that effort, a lot of the head pieces don't work well on viera due to the hairstyles. For example the hair bow from the far eastern school outfit appears to be made to fit the ponytail hairstyle and any other hairstyle will have it float in the air. I guess that's what Yoshi meant when he said they have different heads.
