Could we have some altered MCH animations?

So because I dress like a character from the Matrix in a different class...this game is as Matrix as it can get? No it doesn't, my first assertion that this isn't the Matrix is objectively true.

It's a thread discussing the animations of MCH. That narrows the discussion down.
Discussing the other over the top things in the game I have issues with would be a derailment of the thread, which is against forums rules. Since you've noticed my Gunbreaker outfit, GNB has no over the top animations back-flip animations for it's basic rotations nor do I think GNB should be given any.

Sword classes are pretty flashy and stylish per se (while also being far from realistic, rl swordfighting is also boring af to watch ^^), while ranged physical classes are not. Standing still and shooting a gun in a realistic way is not fun. Not at all. If it was I would be playing Arma 3 instead ^^

Leather and sunglasses existed as a "tough guy" look long before the Matrix.

I'm also against heated animations. I'm former MCH main, i loved it in HW (even though it was gunmage honestly). Unfortunately because of fusion with acrobat job in 4.0 i had to give it up. Not only these animations are silly, they are out of place. It's extremely annoying.
I hoped that developers would rework the job and create new animations from scratch, but they decided to duct tape it.

I'd be fine with just being able to keep the non-Heated animations. Backflipping all over the place while firing a gun is a bit silly.

Yeah i was asking myself why i have to do a half baked roundhousekick for some shots. Its just like one of those kiddos being: "I DESPERATLY WANNA LOOK COOL!"

I admit I find the back flipping animations annoyingly over the top. Firing a gun needn't be so melodramatic, this isn't the Matrix.

Good, we can agree then that I declare that FFXIV isn't the Matrix. And my wearing sunglasses and a leather jacket in real life because I ride a motorcycle has no influence over that objectively true statement.

I agree with that statement in general tbh, DRk have this ability called "Bloodspiller" that looks like a cartwheel, its hilariously odd.
