Yeah, I see no point being made but what he posts is making me uncomfortable.

My ex boyfriend made uncomfortable comments too. If he sexualized something, everyone else had to. It was almost like he had to make people see/agree with his very creepy point of view in order to validate it in his mind. I'm sure there's women out there like that too, but again, so far I've only seen men trying to force this perspective on other men/women, instead of respecting the fact that not everyone has socially unacceptable thoughts.

Exactly this. I think most of these comments are coming from dudes. Just because you have socially unacceptable thoughts doesn't mean the rest of us do.

This always goes back to the basic idea: Play what you want for whatever reason you want.

I dont think its particularly anyones business why anyone plays anything in this game (or any game). You want to play a race cause theyre cool looking? Go for it. Cause you think theyre Cute? Go for it. Cause you got a kink? Go for it. What business is it at the end of the day why anyone plays something, and who has the right to stand their and damn people for their choices. So long as you arent bothering other players or imposing on them, it shouldnt matter what you play or why you play it.

But I guess people feel entitled to pass judgement on other players over the most frivolous things. Those players can buzz off.

Yeah, I agree. I've never played as lalafell, so I can't relate on that part, but I have supported the hummingway esque, or the cuter version, male viera to be implemented. (For the record, I'm ok with most any version of the concept art for male viera, like the tall ones or the short ones. I support them equally.) Because of this, I was accused of some pretty disgusting things. A lot of those people were rightfully banned for those comments, whether permanently or temporarily. It was pretty unbelievable how some people were trying to impose their views on me, slander me, and drag me through the mud. People would call the concept artwork "sick", "gross", "disgusting", "creepy" etc... It's like... Why? How is that inherently creepy? So in a way, I can relate to the OP.

Even now, some people are referring to discussions about slim body types vs. muscular body types for men as gross for some reason? But when people talk about butt sliders for women, everything is fine???

tbh this thread makes me tempted to fantasia my elezen into a lalafell, even though I prefer to play elezen, and I don't really like lalafell lol
