Getting reaaally tired of people afking/trying to justify afking.

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday during msq roulette. WHM DC'ed right away after we got Castrum and came back some time after we beat the first magitek boss. He then went AFK until I've had enough and brought it up after the invul giant phase. He was kicked promptly after, but the real deal happened afterwards. DNC kept saying on how easy Castrum is and it doesn't matter, that she has seen 2 people carried the other 6 through the dungeon because it's "so braindead EZ", and that I'm a jerk for "whining and crying over 1 person AFK in a content that doesn't matter".

I'm almost impressed on the mental gymnastics required to be able to defend leeching behaviours like that. I thought this DNC was a special case, but your experience proved me wrong and some people actually do defend AFKing on duty. Like... if the content is so easy, I see no reason not being able to perform well. Sure Syrcus Tower is easy, yet just today in my run I had 1 healer 3 DPS died to Scylla for some reason (except for my fellow DRG, poor girl was frozen and didn't get any heal/fire orb).

Well, that happened.

Just had to solo heal Dun Scaith on my White Mage.

Que into Alliance Roulette, get Dun Dun Doom, other Team C healer leaves instantly.

Proceed to solo heal C the rest of the instance.

Owowowie, and the Dragoon who stood in everything was not helping.

Much death and much pain later we clear...and i roll a 99 on the minion and get 6 Commendations for the trouble.

Speaking of practice, queued up for a 50/60/70 earlier. Get Antitower. Tank pulls and immediately loses aggro and can't get it back. I check their gear, left side is the basic GNB white gear. Right side is level 20ish accessories. I yeet myself right out of there. I'm not here to baby lazy players.

Yes, it's easy, which is why you can just set your brain to autopilot mode and get it over with. I don't care how simple something is, it's no excuse to not just press some buttons. These people seem to truly think they're entitled to a reward for doing nothing. Yeesh.

Healer is too busy Stoning or Holying to do any healing, aside from an occasional Assize.

And though I'm dodging everything really well in The Vault, I die because SOMEONE didn't run away with the chain - they're in the middle so there's literally NOWHERE I can run to break it. So I drop. Healer raises me...

And doesn't heal me for the next altar pyre (or whatever the party-wide ability is).

So I die. Again.

And the healer does nothing.

I just lay there while they chip away sadly at his health. The DRG (who couldn't even down 1 of the balls in that phase while I was downing 3 by myself) never used the LB2 when it popped. The only reason we won because by the time the DRG died, dude was at like... .5% and the tank auto-attacked him to death.

So yeah. See, when I pick healer, I dunno, I actually... heal? THAT'S the story behind my signature. There's no paradox.

Anyone been getting tanks that try to tank garuda hm in the tornadoes lately?

Try to rescue the second tank trying this to a safe area to tank and dps her and they run right back in until 6/8 of the group gets blasted. Then they move to me lol,

I just got out of E4N, trying to get to get stuff for my heals since my RNG is always crappy and I keep rolling for stuff I already have. Went in as RDM. What a flipping shiteshow. We had one newbie, whom I'll forgive, but everyone else... ;-; Everyone kept dying. So I became a rez-bot and was constantly low on MP and trying to support heals. Who kept dying. Always. We went through three cycles of Titan Kart, not counting the first one where he teases you before he starts vrooming around in circles. AST tried 3 bar Limit Break... Interrupted. And away went the LB bar. And away went the AST as the WHM came up. We managed to beat Titan, somehow... I joked about getting all the comms for the carry.

First rule of commendation club: don't ask for commendations.

And while you may have carried the group, pointing it out even jokingly just comes across as petty and if anything made people less likely to give you a commendation.

I will agree it was petty, in hindsight, even when joking about it. Maybe I did deserve only 1 comm after the joke. But I stand by my comment and I won't apologize for insinuating that I was good and they weren't.

Was doing leveling roulette on my SMN. We had one of those special 0 damage healers. When the dungeon was done, little bird told me, that he used Stone grand total of 2 times and Aero once. I assume it was a misclick.
