Why do people without kids or even raised some themselves always feel the need to teach/ or criticize people with kids how to raise them.

Actually people without kids don't care how you raise your kids, they just don't want your bad parenting impacting their kid-free life (this isn't even relevant to the topic though, as screaming kids over voice chat isn't necessarily bad parenting, just disrespect to the party).

I get this is a troll thread, and not as a means to single out your comment just using it as a general context. Should we as players think that voice chat does not play a major part of modern day gaming especially in terms of higher end content? While certainly it is optional in the strictness sense of the word, for many players I can most certainly see how it does not feel optional.

All of the fights are scripted. All you really NEED to do is decide on what strategy the team wants to execute and you should be golden. Had this been another MMO, where a boss picks a random move from a list, I'd concede that voice chat is hardly optional (and even then, that's a matter of environmental awareness). For those that feel it's required, I'd surmise that's more of the feeling of security or habit than necessity.

That is the thing in a lot of cases personal preference hardly ever out weights the preference of the group, and for the most part from voice communication for better or worse has become a standard for many groups and players one coule even say it has simply become an expected norm when it comes to completing higher level content even causally.

It's extremely rude, but the only solution is to stay away from "family" restaurants. No big chains. If I ever opened a restaurant I'd have a big fat "NO KIDS" sign on the door. It's not their fault because they are little and don't know any better, but their trashy parents are the worst. Let them cry, order a bunch of food, take forever, and then don't tip. They seem to think it is the restaurant's responsibility to watch little Timmy as he darts between server's feet who are carrying trays of heavy and hot food as well as drinks. Trash. A huge waste of a server's time and they always leave behind a colossal mess. These people should be forced to tip 75% of the bill for the way they behave, better yet, they shouldn't be allowed in at all. You'll never catch me in a Chili's. lol Overpriced microwaved food and squalling children. No thanks!

There are some parents who think that every restaurant needs to be a "family" restaurant. I remember reading an article once about parents who brought their infant to a high class exclusive restaurant *with a dress code* and tried to sue the restaurant when they were turned away.

While I do not disagree, there has been an unwritten precedent set for those that don't want to, or even cannot, use voice communication. To the point that disabled players run the risk of being excluded simply because other players don't want to take a few seconds to type out the general strategy. People can expect something as a norm, but when it's not required, but players feel it's required, people get ... weird, to put it politely.
