    Lightbulb BLU skills should also be totems in chests too

    I'm sure somebody has mentioned this already probably but I think it would be nice to have skill totems added to the chests for dungeons/trials/raids. I rarely see party finders (or make them) for BLU stuff anymore and would like to see totems added to the chests so I can continue to do and earn stuff solo. I would like to see them in chests regardless of the class I chose to do the content with.

    As it stands I'll probably try to get the skills at 60 that I couldn't get at 50 but I fear they are going to do the same dumb stuff and put a bunch of skills in dungeon/raid/trial content again. There has to be a better way and I think this would be a way forward for more casual players.

    I think this is ok since it still satisfies the collecting / acquiring game of Blu spells but allows you do the instanced party ones without begging people to carry your Blu through them.

    That defeats the purpose of playing BLU at all. The job currently only exists to collect spells and the masked carvinal which is lackluster.

    So if you can hunt spells with another job what would you use it for...

    To be fair if they just let us take BLU in Roulettes (or create one especially just for the job), players would probably have more chances to obtain their spells than having to rely on the Party Finder majority of the time.

    All of the ones which do not come from totems, which should be most of them, still need the Blu to interact with the enemy.

    Just converting ones that Blus are already carried through by other jobs.

    Not entirely and I think it would help it honestly. The only thing BLU really has for endgame is the Carnivale so what do you use it for...


    I just want another way to earn the skills and complete the spellbook without having to rely on other people. I think that would be best for a class that they said was for solo play... to be able to complete it, you know, solo. Even if they expanded the Carnivale and threw all the hard to get skills (4/5 star) in there, that would be cool with me. Just more options please.

    That would be cool too as I really just want more options to complete the spellbook, I'm especially keen on solo options though.

    Absolutely nothing...After you get your spells and complete the carnival there is no reason to use BLU for anything, and if you do your handicapping yourself instead of going on a level 80 job.

    The whole limited job concept is a mess, the least they could have done is make BLU level 80 so we can use it for fates and appropriate content, and from the looks of it we will never be at the current level cap. BLU is not a solo job as can be experienced in-game so BLU has a identity crisis that needs to be addressed.

    And how exactly will this help BLU, if you can get your spells on another job you spend even less time on BLU. To get all your normal spells it takes approximately 2 Hours so you will basically use BLU for nothing since you would farm your high level spells on another job and put BLU away even faster.

    I want that too. Let limited jobs reach the same level cap as other jobs then just block it from the current raid tier but everything else is fair game (in premade parties). Still can't do roulettes on it so it doesn't cause people to only play BLUs for faster tome farming.

    Help it in the sense that there's a better chance to complete the spellbook or lessen the likelihood of burn out due to poor luck with rng. I distinctly remember being in a group of 3 and going for Ifrit's eruption skill (pre-patch before story Ifrit included). One of us went tank and we got the skill in less than 5 runs or something like that. We swapped so the other guy could get the skill and nothing dropped for 2 hours before he finally just gave up on it. Anecdotal evidence and everyone else's mileage may vary sure but it's pretty crappy when that is, or was, the only option.

    Something like my suggestion wouldn't necessarily need to be implemented right along with new content for the class but maybe later as a way to sort of nerf the difficulty a little bit like they do with old relics and the like.

    I like the idea of having the level capped with all the other jobs and have thought it was pretty ridiculous that it isn't. Hell you have to use a BLU to spawn the Amh Araeng S rank, and if I have to bring it into new content and commit bluicide for a S rank then why isn't it the same level?

    I thought BLU was a very cool concept with poor execution and I was just spitballing an idea. I like a lot of the ideas for improvements to the class and I really want more options because the existing ones suck imo.

    just wanted to make a suggetion dont know where to put it
    i think they need to remove the limited job status from blue mage for a few reasons they use caster gear only from what ive seen so with mighty guard on they dont make good tanks even with the diamondback ability you cant solo the dungouns cause your too busy trying to survive not able to dps. removing limited job status would allow going into roullettes and getting dungouns opening up the chance to obtain abilities. along with that change the transition ability from massive heal but kill you to a rez of some sort maybe like rez member but drop you to 1hp and get debuff to where you cant use sacificing ability
    if they think bluemage is too OP due to the white wind ability why dont they put a potency on it instead of your current hp also make a healer stance similar to the mighty guard tank stance but for healing and make it add abilities to some of the healing abilities like the AST this way they can add something like the angels snack from ff9 they just need to make sure not to make them better than a regular healer or tank
    for the collecting abilities think it would be fun if they added some abilities like manupulate, lancet, mimic, and scan.
    using scan to find abilities not being told where they are
    Using mimic to use the ability that your target just used and increasing the chance of obtaining ability that you can learn
    use manupulate into making mob attack other mobs for 12 to 20 seconds and cast benificial spells on your party
    and lancet just like in ff10 to pull hp and mp to you and increase the chance to obtain abilities maybe make usable when mob is 10% hp left
