PVP exclusive mounts rewards are unfair to non pvp players

While it would be cool to see recolors of SOME of these items made more available (not necessarily easily so); I can understand why they make it exclusive.

My only issue is it goes to basically the same few people a few of whom are known for RMT related activities in the form of "win selling".

Honestly, it’s hard to even say that this is a troll. Because there are players who genuine think and feel the way OP do: they should get anything and everything without putting in the effort involved.

Yes it's a title/weapon and not a mount, but the prestige is real.

You can check a certain site for proof or not of bought clears—generally, if there’s an upload, it’s legit. That said, the amount of Legends that bought their title are likely a small percentage of the even smaller percentage of Legends out there.

This isn't the case anymore, for now. Adders have more consistent winning streaks now that Maelstrom is being inundated by people looking for "easy wins." At this point saying that Maelstrom and Adders are close in their win rates would be more accurate. However, Flames are still generally a mess and directionless unless they are stacked with a premade.

So in response to this threat I started looking at all the PVP exclusive stuff, man I joined to late the hellhound stuff is dope and I unfortunately will never be able to have access to it now. Bummer.

I suppose I should only take claims from PvPers at face value even if they're diamond rank.

I tend to function under the assumption that there are always going to be bots in any kind of content that is unpopular but has interesting rewards, though. I don't doubt that it does actually happen but it's probably only in the lower ranks where they can get away with it easily against unskilled players. I've witnessed people coordinating bot grind parties in Eureka using their own accounts plus those of friends, so I'd assume they can do the same in PvP to a degree.

Regardless, I do think they still ought to make some of the old top 100 rewards available again at some point; perhaps several seasons after they were last relevant. Most of the people who earned the mount/glam awards are likely going to tire of them and stop using them in favor of the latest cool thing at some point.

Firstly, you took some random persons word as an absolute fact and spat it out as truth, never on any circumstance do that without collaborating evidence.

Secondly, stop assuming.

Thirdly, no, they shouldn't bring old rewards back as it devalues the work people had to put into them, it SHOULD be the same in PVE, but it's not. I can't count how many hours I spent per season for the rewards I have, but it would feel like shit to see someone could buy them with wolf marks they got losing 10 Frontline matches. You're not entitled to everything in the game, sometimes you actually have to work for some things.

So right now some cool mounts like "Goten" are only obtainable through grinding 10+ hours of pvp in ff14.

How unfair is that to non pvp players?!?

I've been playing mmos for over 15 years, it's the first time that i'm seeing pvp exclusive rewards that can be used outside of the pvp sphere. This is absolutely nonsense.

PVP armors like "the golden wolf" counterparts can be obtained as gold saucer rewards for non pvp players so why not make the pvp exclusive mounts also available this way or through daily pve rewards or even in the mog station?!?

I'm playing this game to have fun. Where is the fun when you need to do something you dont like for 10+ hours to get something you enjoy?

I'll be suspending my subscription to ff14 until this changes, if ever...
