It looks like you got your elements backwards though. Fire, Lightning and Wind are the Astral elements and Earth, Water, and Ice are the Umbral ones.
Also did I miss something, it looks like you dont get any AoE until 58. Personally I would look at the "triangles" created by the elements to seperate them into an AoE and single target. They are called the 3 conquests and the 3 submissions, I believe.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

Thanks for the information on the Astral / Umbral Elements, I fixed that.It looks like you got your elements backwards though. Fire, Lightning and Wind are the Astral elements and Earth, Water, and Ice are the Umbral ones.

As far as AoE, they learn "Judgement" at level 40.
If paired with Liquid Steel, the player could potentially do:
Liquid Steel >> Judgement >> Enhanced Liquid Steel >> Judgment (Elemental Bonus Potency) [Lvl 40 AoE Rotation]
Judgement >> Glacial Tundra >> Enhanced Judgement >> Ultima Divide [Lvl 60 AoE Rotation]

If a magic melee was going to get a hammer, I think it'd work better with a Geomancer. In FFTactics, they were melee/magic hybrids that could use axes so that has some precedence even if they're usually dedicated casters with snowcaps. If you're going for a weapon for a mystic knight that's not a sword, then how about a whip-blade like Seven uses from type-0 (or Ivy from Soul Calibur) since Seven is basically the mystic knight of type 0 with her element lash.
The classic Mystic Knight job is Arabian inspired. To play off of this a little, you could go a bit further east and make them Indian inspired instead. In India, there's a weapon called the urumi which is basically a long, thin whip-like sword that could be the basis for a cohesive visual package. Then, instead of only taking ability names from X-2's warrior, you take them from Seven's kit giving you access to more names like Element-lash and Livewire in addition to ones that already work like Liquid Steel and Flametongue.

lol... actually I thought the whole concept was for Geomancer... cause it badly reminds me to the FFT Geo as well - and it also was able to use axes/hammers. For Mystic Knight tho... eh i can't get the relation to the elements as well... : /
(wasnt there a mysitc knight cls/special char as well in FFT? The one with the Dragonlady?...)

Beowulf Cadmus was a Temple Knight/Templar
https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Beowulf_Cadmus
It didn't handle elements, it was more of status ailments (which is SMN/BLU territory in FFXIV to a degree.)
Also, Excalibur and Ragnarok as skill names when they are PLD and WAR relic names?
