    I cannot help but wonder what the "sins stacked to the heavens" that Emet Selch mentions during Amaurot were.

    It implies the ancients had been doing something really wrong, but likely never even realized it until it was too late.

    The latest Tales from the Shadows bringing up that the creations of ancients could sometimes end up being inhabited/controlled by stray souls that had yet to properly return to the underworld/Lifestream makes me think that could have something to do with it all.
