It's not fair for non-PVP players because it's not meant for you.
Like saying the UCOB items are unfair because it's behind difficult content you don't intend to partake in.
jesus.

Oh, I was referring to ranked PvP stuff personally. The Garo event and its rewards have been going on for awhile, yeah. Those have been easily accessible to everyone, though anyone who joined as recently as Shadowbringers no doubt had a rougher time. Personally, I went to town on it the day it started and finished it all within a week. It was a long week, but I knew as time went on it would be harder to grind, and I wanted Raigo something fierce.I mean, I'd agree with you if this was the Yokai Watch event but Garo has been ongoing for years without stop and from what I've seen it doesn't even touch the PVP ranked mode. You just need a flat number of wins in Frontlines and/or Feast. And even though it's coming to an end there's still time to get what you want if you hustle right now.

Ahh! My mistake then, apologies. ^^ And I do agree that that aspect of PVP is really poorly done. Especially given the fact that people had admitted to win trading in the past.

Additionally, Savage can be rolf-stomped by the next tier. When I got the A4S mount, we killed Manipulation in like a minute or two. And that was in Heavensward. Now? Good lord. Likewise, you can buy the Eureka mounts and the Diadem stuff is both easy to get or been added to the Mogtome "event." Basically, everything is extremely easier to get if you're willing to wait. The difference is savage raid, Eureka and Diadem mounts readily available to those willing to put the effort in at any time. They aren't timed exclusives part of what's basically a rigged ranking system that can be easily exploited. Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with not having them. I really don't. I just think that the whole ranked PvP thing is a waste of time and resources. They should just add these rewards to regular PvP modes through vendors or something. Maybe keep them on a timer to make them feel special but also allow them to be grinded by many in an accessible setting like grinding out, say, 100k wolf marks or a seasonal currency. They put a lot of effort into these Feast ranking rewards, and it shows. It is just largely wasted on the player base since it is accessible to maybe a small fraction of a small fraction of a small fraction of the game's population.

The only "unfair" aspect of mounts in different content is that mounts of some content are made easier available over time, like ex trials when they increase the drop rate or also savage raids when you can unsynch them, while mouns of other content like hunt and PvP stay the same forever.
I just don't get it why they increase drop rates on the one hand, but then add stuff like the Tiger, Astrope or the top 100 PvP mounts on the other...

Yeah I kind of want the pvp mounts too. Thing is I don't pvp so you know how I treat this?
"I guess I just won't have them because I'm not that big on pvp."
There's a hundred other mounts I could be using anyway. Like my immersive bed. I haven't raided since deltascape but I still have Alta Roite, because I at least took the time to do the content.

im all with op, lame wolf mark farmers are a plague, and get rid of them would just bring fresh breeze to the pvp scene.

The only thing I can possibly agree with is how the previous season ranked rewards become unavailable ever again. Collab events are a different breed so I won't include those. But someone suggested making it so if you finish in a qualifying place you can go back and spend a token on any of the rewards that were available from previous seasons which could work. But, PvP rewards should stay as PvP rewards. If they start leaking them into PvE I will be angry. And I HATE PvP. I would be angry because I feel the rewards should be disparate and if like me you aren't willing to PvP, you should not get the rewards. Period dot.
The difference here is (while I can't speak for Tiger/Astrope), is that PvP when done right, is self-sufficient content (by all means throw some new stuff in there every now and then, but it isn't really required). Because every PvE fight is about perfecting the script, the nature of humans means that each PvP encounter will be very different. The human nature adds an element of replayability for those who enjoy PvP, so rewards aren't needing to be nerfed for it. For those who enjoy the thrill of fighting other players (and there's a LOT of them. Look at games like League of Legends and Overwatch to see PvP is very popular), that is its own reward. The problem here is SE haven't done PvP right (from what I've seen of player complaints), not the rewards themselves. The only "unfair" aspect of mounts in different content is that mounts of some content are made easier available over time, like ex trials when they increase the drop rate or also savage raids when you can unsynch them, while mouns of other content like hunt and PvP stay the same forever.

White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya
I was expecting this thread to be about the Feast mounts if anything because with how exploitable the ranking system is it does seem a touch unwarranted to keep the top 100 rewards permanently exclusive.
