If not AFK he was just jumping around with other 4 players, when we had to use the magitek armor they just sit in front of the blasting gate.

Nah, I was referring to the other people and why you might see vote kicks pop up for random people, with the reasoning being AFK. For you being kicked, my other statement relates to that. You could report it, IF you knew who initiated it.
