It was brought up yes. I tried to make him promise to go get a better book once he's out, but only got "dude I get it" or something like that in return.

People who "afk" during normal raids, alliance raids, and trials should not be allowed to que for them. It's rude when people are putting the work into get it done, but then we got leechers like these random afkers. If someone isn't actively attacking throughout the whole thing, they should be kicked immediately. Same with people who fake afk while being dead. If they don't accept a raise or two, should be kicked. It's ridiculous.

You just pointed out one of the many things that Irk me lol Cant stand people who afk during raids old or new get off your rear and carry your weight.

I've only gotten into AST recently, so I'm by no means a master of that particular class. But I'm not impressed by this gameplay. With how boisterous you sounded to me in your earlier posts I admit I expected a little more.
You kept your party alive, which is good. You threw in some dps, which is also good. You at least used cards, which is also good. You used Earthly Star and aimed it nicely.
But unfortunately that's honestly the extend of things I can commend.

Throwing a melee card on a BLM of all classes while he's still on the run and out of combat is a glaring mistake and one you repeated throughout the run aswell as throwing ranged cards on the melee or tank. A lot. Cards were drawn irregulary and with a lot of time inbetween. You can hold them indefinitely so you can easily draw them right as you zone in and on the way to the boss/ pull and redraw as neccessary to fish for the right seals. No sleeve draw.
Also, you spent a lot of time just running around even when there was no aoe to dodge or other reason to adjust your position, wasting a good 2-3 GCDs doing nothing even with Light's Speed up and used Light's Speed at weird times like at the end of fights, wasting most of its duration. Also no oGCD heals aside from Earthly Star, no Neutral Sect of Synastry. Sometimes you hovered over Intersection but ended up not using it for whatever reason. No pre-shielded pulls, not even with Intersection. I get that not everyone feels comfortable or it feels like too much work to stance dance between pulls bit Intersection is just one click and it's free.

All in all I'm not surprised your MP rarely drop because you spent a lot of time doing nothing or fumbling with targeting. You also heal quite frequently with BeneI even if your target took significant dmg. You have a really high amount of Piety and with the frequent downtime it's obvious why you don't have to utilize LD more. Doing nothing or running around without good reason is not MP management, it's simply useless downtime.
With more dps spam and more expensive but GCD efficient heals I'm pretty sure you'd need LD more often even with your high amount of Piety.
If you spent more time casting than the other healer, it makes me wonder what he even did, though...

I did not post the video to impress anyone. Next everything you pointed out that I didnt use conserves mana lessening the need for LD use or do you not read your tool tips. 1. Lightspeed reduces mana cost by 50%: less mana use 2. Earthly star: dmg and heal: less mana 3.Neutral sec: increases healing by 20% = less mana use 4. Snyastry: shares 40% of a heal with another target= Less mana use 5. CI: shield and heal=less mana use. So explain how using all this will force me to use LD more often and topping people off when its not needed is a waste of mana. As for my peity look at my character profile..as I said before and will again it all comes from gear alone no materia. Peity materia is also complete garabage as the return is minimal.

As for the other healer he dpsing most of the time. I was healing and dpsing but not to the extent I do in lvl 80 4 duneons and raids. But this has gone on long enough its off topic I didnt point out his use to start a debate. We were in a lvl 50 24 man raid and it seemed weird using LD at the start of every fight when we were not even having issues. I was dpsing and healing the whole time didnt have to touch LD and CD use was just not needed. The damage the tanks were taking was laughable a regen with cure/benefic thrown in every so often was enough to keep them up.

p.s I am aware of my sloppy gameplay and its my fault its gotten that way.

Luckily, this thread isn’t a big echo chamber where we come to gripe and everyone pats us on the back even if we are wrong. You complained about your cohealer using LD “early” and have been told that it’s actually efficient to use LD quickly as long as you don’t hit 100% MP with it up. That’s not off-topic, that is exactly the topic you brought up.

Thanks for clarifying. I have never seen anyone do it even savage raiders I sometimes see on twitch are not don't do it. So just seem odd to me.

Running a few late night Titania EX farms for something to do. Was going smoothly, decent group with the only deaths mainly from the MCH. However, suddenly after about 3-4 runs this guy announces proudly in party chat "...and I'm only using lv60 rings!" and links basic 260 Shire rings. When questioned why he couldn't get some 440's or even vendor rings he responds with "hehehehe" and "lol maybe I'll farm some on Inno tomorrow". He seemed to find the situation hilarious.

Fortunately he got a swift boot. The mind boggles.

Far superior dps than me -> I get the cards
Way worse dps than me -> they get the cards

I'm playing AST for my static's weekly E4S reclear. Third pull of the night.
Raid leader (SCH) has a Discord bot to call out mechanics. We reach 3% HP, and we suddenly find out that he's reprogrammed it to play some entertaining music for the final 45 secs. We're amused and keep pressing on towards the kill. Music Bot 9000 drowns out the callout for the next mechanic.
I derp up because I heard people shout conflicting things and get yeeted off the arena.
Situation gets a lot less funny when the raid leader has to solo heal Tumult.
Everyone but tanks get pasted.
1% wipe.
