Ok so the next Gamescon will be held in German only, no big deal right...? And we dont need Japanese on the next E3 as english is enough... lol

The reason I bring that point up is the game is developed in Japan, it's a Japanese game being shown at a Japanese specific gaming convention. Japan will always be the target demographic for the game, so much so that content like Eureka's Baldesion Arsenal was developed with the Japanese pug mindset to heart. They'll always put them first so to have them do a live letter in Japanese purely for the ease of access in Japan isn't too far fetched or absurd.

We can all agree that it wasn't the best for them to not have an English digest released along side the stream. However the slides basically showed you everything you really need to know at the time in English that a future dev blog will cover. That's the majority of what people care for in the game. The Nier banter stuff is thankfully archived due to the Subreddit and will most likely be touched upon in the Dev Blog post for it. Honestly the only real pieces of data shown during that were a couple of screenshots from the raid, mob/boss+arena design, the music piece (which was also titled in English), and the Patch Art. Which you can expect all of that in a digest post soon.

At this point I think it's just fine to let it go, and just read it through reddit to get your updates for this one specific PLL, until the dev blog puts up their entry. If a situation happens like this again on their own personal PLL (not at a Japanese convention) then I would be more concerned. For now I'll chalk this up to they assumed everyone would be getting the translation in some kind of way, especially considering the titles for the questions in the Nier talk was entirely in English.

What do you mean? I don't think they provide live translation if it's held in Japan regardless if it's at an event or their office, exceptions being for things like Q&A like the last live letter.
