[Request] Free Companies need some updates

I'd like Airships to have some actual content behind them, something akin to a mix of Treasure Maps and Diadem... I'll always find it incredibly lame how, in a game where you can build and own your own Airship, all that is good for is essentially Retainer Ventures 2.0...

Yeah, reminds me of Destiny where it was like "Omg yes I finally got my own spaceship, I can't wait to fly around and discover.... oh, it just acts as a fancy loading screen... Ok nvm :/" lol

Need more permission settings for the FC chest. When things go south and some people get butthurt, the first thing they do is ransack the chest like the Bugle Brothers.

In fact as far as access goes, there should be more options.

Company actions/buffs are seriously in need of an update. FC's could also use some sort of message system and message board that is meaningful to communicate with members. Would also be nice if the 4 crafter requirement be lifted for small FC's at least.

• Colored nameplates for FC members. It would be great to be able to see who is in the FC at a glance when wandering around. We are able to choose a custom color for people on our friend's list, so why not for fellow free company members?

This is one of those things that I seriously can't believe hasn't happened yet, or the fact they didn't think to put it in the options in the first place. I shouldn't have to add everyone in my FC to my friend list just to be able to spot them in a crowded city or running around out in the wild.

As a side point, seeing as the Fellowships system is coming and they've mentioned being able to set specific tags for it, I really hope there is a "Free Company" tag for Fellowships. A lot of those features seem like things that Free Companies should just have gotten years ago, but I guess it makes sense to make Fellowships it's own thing so non-Free Company groups can make use of the features as well. Would make sense to be able to set up specific Free Company Fellowships, though. Works as an event planner and recruitment tool, based off what I've seen.

Make FCs searchable in game with a menu of which you can apply through. It's a frustrating task filtering through player search and lodestone, and hoping someone's online to accept you.

Unpopular opinion here, but FCs don't need updates, they need to die out. Archaic design and all that. If you look across MMOs, you will see features like the upcoming Fellowship feature becomes far more the norm, largely because developers are recognizing that so many players a) don't want to be in guilds / FCs and b) would prefer to be in several like-minded communities instead. Yes, I recognize that there are a slew of features tied to FCs in the current design of the game, but if Fellowships take off like their equivalent systems in other games, expect to see those dependent features shift away from FCs.
