need ilevel and a way for it to check your gear
too many GNB with no accs in some duties
it'll just be worse with healers with no accessories in lvl 70 duties in 6.0

you're missing the crucial point. and that is you just don't need to. you can be level 77 in varying ilevels of level 70 gear and it really doesn't matter. because of all the roulettes you're going to do there's 1 that maybe just maybe might make some use of any better gear you could have gotten.
that is the issue. gear has no longevity it's the same at all levels of the game not just people levelling. it's why so many people still completely ignore materia and don't bother melding anything. itll just be replaced next week so waste of time. just sell any materia i got so i can go and buy some shiny glamour piece.
people will literally spend millions on glamours. but won't even toss 50k into something they know full well is just going to be thrown away... and that same thing goes for people levelling.
you can easily run castrum abania level 69 in full augmented shire gear. it might take a few minutes longer but it hands down is going to be a better option than spending a fortune on gear you'll never actually use because the roulettes never put you in content high enough..
if you want people to care about gear. make gear thats worth caring about...
but when everything that isnt glamour is throw away junk you can't blame players for not bothering. would you go out of your way to pick up trash....
I said earlier they could simply change the levelling roulette rewards. just make that guaranteed drop you get at the end of a levelling dungeon appropritate to your current level and not appropriate to the dungeons level.
this way a level 77 player that ends up in dusk vigil for example isn't going to get a piece of i255 (or there abouts) gear thats absolutely useless. instead he'd get some i385 (or whatever the 76-77 gear is) thats actually appropriate for his current level
if this happened then on that slim chance the players roulette put him in an appropriate level dungeon he'd at least be reasonably attired

it doesnt need to be a intense ilevel requirement
if anything it should be the last MSQ dungeons ilevel requirement
augmented Shire is fine for SB dungeons
but ala mhigo gear is not for Holm switch

Did leveled a number of alt jobs to 80 and were always fine with poetics gear on all 50/60/70 tiers.
Only issue I can notice, you cannot gear everything when you just hit 50 because the full augmented set is about 4000 poetics, so you spend your poetics for the most important gear first (weapon, body, legs) and setup the missing things while on the road to 60. Same for 60>70, while for 70>80 you start feel the pressure for better gear at 74+ but manageable, only issue is people that uses DF expecting always speedruns, but here the problem is not your gear or the duty finder.

Your suggestion has a major problem:The solution is so easy. And no its not minimum ilvl. Its a little bit of awareness. To make people see that it takes maybe only a few days of even only running 1 msq roulette dungeon per day to get the poetics for i260/i270 gear as soon as you complete the past 3.0 quest, and i390/i400 gear once you complete the last 4.0 quest. And with secondary jobs, you can do some pre planning too to get the poetics gear well before you get to lv. 60 or 70. And so on you can pre plan a little too for the i120/i130 phase at lv. 50 though this may be a little trickier if its your 1st class to 50. Stop rushing, start thinking.
Keywords: pre-planning and poetics.
It involves queuing into MSQ roulette.

What problem? Just pull out a Switch or some other device if you get Prae during the CSs or get some chores done during the CSs and enjoy the massive exp/poetics. People make a big deal about the silliest of things.

If I wanted to watch youtube or play another game, I wouldn't be logging into FF14.
When the content is so bad that I'd be watching TV instead of paying attention, then I'm not going to do it.
It's hardly "silly" to expect that a game actually be engaging.

It’s silly because people are given an easy opportunity to improve their gear yet refuse and instead brag about how awesome they are that they don’t need better gear and then brag about knowingly wasting people’s time by undergearing in order to make themselves feel more validated. You won’t waste your time running an easy roulette but you sure don’t mind wasting other people's Time by intentionally undergearing.

If I could level entirely by doing min ilvl EX or Savage runs, banking experience for alt-jobs, then I would. You'd never see me in any roulettes. Hell, that stuff even gives tomes for gear. But I can't, gotta run the same rat race in the kiddie pool for every job. It’s silly because people are given an easy opportunity to improve their gear yet refuse and instead brag about how awesome they are that they don’t need better gear and then brag about knowingly wasting people’s time by undergearing in order to make themselves feel more validated. But hey, villianize me for undergearing, and still doing better than the average df healer I see, ONCE, because I thought it'd be more fun than running what amount to chores. Now that I am geared, you can rest assured I give every party the full "spam Art of War while occasionally Excog'ing or Lustrate'ing the tank" experience.

If you only did it once why are you defending it here tooth and nail? Do you not have other things you can be doing? Me and some other folks are posting on this thread because we’ve literally seen people missing gear slots in higher level duties. I will no longer be responding to you because this is pointless. If I could level entirely by doing min ilvl EX or Savage runs, banking experience for alt-jobs, then I would.
