Last time I checked, cloning research on humans is prohibited. Even stemcell research is a contentious subject, so I'm not expecting fully grown human clones anytime soon.

You may want to check again. Currently in the US there are no federal laws regulating human cloning in the United States, with the exception of laws and policies restricting the federal government from funding human cloning research. It should be noted that this regulation doesn't prevent the funding to private institutes researching cloning. On a state level only 15 states have banned reproductive cloning and an additional three only banned public funding for reproductive cloning. Furthermore, no such laws govern international territories where research is being conducted. The UN tried to get a discussion universally banning it in 2001, but it failed, as it required the ban on therapeutic cloning as well. I'd imagine it may happen sooner than you're expecting. To be fair there are other obstacles but legality is only a small portion.

The only problem with mods I see for myself is that it makes my character look in a way I didn't intented it to look. On the other hand - it's not my problem since it were them who decided to mess their game with mods. And if somebody makes mods for the sake of seeing others naked... welp, they need some help, I suppose.

Well yes, technically it isn't our problem how they mod their clients.
I know people that do and sometimes they chuckle at my gear ... kinda annoys me a bit. ._.

As for needing help: why? There were nude mods for games as old as Tomb Raider. Create hyperidealized female forms and some people will want to see them undressed. Basic human nature I guess.

Could you maybe not have such thin skin about someone you will never meet irl in a video game looking at your ones and zeros charecter panties that also dosent exist? Its all in virtual space and thee creepers can't hurt you unless you let them. Why give a damn about what someone else does? And, more importantly, you wouldnt even knoe unless you asked them.

I agree with you about someone not know unless they are told. So, assuming some is taking upskirt shots is a jump. Personally, I feel the real problem is when you have one player repeatedly doing an obnoxious action after the other player has told them to stop.

It's basic human decency to not do something if someone explicitly states that it's bothering them whether you're interacting with them in person or in a game assuming it's not a huge inconvenience to yourself.

What irks me most about this topic is not the fact they are doing it. These species ("races") have been designed to be sexually attractive and of course this triggers certain things in our brains. You can not control your hormones (instinct), but you can let your brain verify if that is right in that situatoin (rational thinking). In League of Legends, I am an Ashe main, and I have the merchandise statue right next to my screen. I also often look at the boobs of this statue and enjoy it for what it is until my brain finally steps in and ruins the party. I am a male after all. And without that, magazines like the "Playboy" would not exist.


The simple reason people would take screenshots like that as if it's the most normal thing in the world in itself is weird. Like there is no threshold of shame or decency anymore. We have this behaviour at work, too. I work in grocery retail, and my female colleague picked up a huge, smoked Salami stick and my black workmate immediately acted like that innocent Salami is his... You hopefully get what I mean by "low threshold of shame anymore". But then, als half "goth" and "aristocrat" in real life I rather have my ladys wearing beautiful clothes that you can take off when it matters instead of reveal everything on the first looks...I don't growl and snort at every little bit of flesh of the opposite gender. . .

I don't know about the other races, but Viera was definitely made with attraction in mind, but it's a classy kind of attractiveness, even their emotes/animation scream classy girl and I like that. Catgirls though, just something about them, they get the most attention, both positive and negative ways.

Your post though touches upon knowing one's moral scope.

I'm a guy lalafell who doesn't cross dress so up skirt pics have nothing to do with me, but if someone was trying to take pics of my butt or penal area then I'd just call em a pedo and hit em with slap emote or that throw something at you emote then lala walk myself on back down the streets of ul'dah.

If their character was important they would dress it in a way they wished to be seen. That includes what is under your skirt or dress in a game with a freely moving camera and multiple slides/jumps/combat animations/Byakko winds that flip your skirts.

Some people like wearing skirts for their own reasons, that doesn't give anyone a right to take a look, or a right to shame them for it. That goes for real life as well as in game.
