Last time I checked, cloning research on humans is prohibited. Even stemcell research is a contentious subject, so I'm not expecting fully grown human clones anytime soon. That's is not how that is going to play out. At least not at first. Later on down the line, they may acquire rights. Doubt it will work the way you think it will right out of the gate, but I could be wrong. I imagine we'll see soon enough. However, as it stands now other cloned animals aren't even afforded the same rights as their counterparts. So the outlook isn't good.
Because there have been a spat of incidents where those creepers have actually gone out of their way to post modded screenshots of other people's characters and tag the players on social media. It's happened to at least one friend of mine, and while said friend cussed them out and reported them there are still people out there who see nothing wrong with proudly boasting that they got off looking at someone's character /to the player/. Complete with screenshot evidence, which happened in the incident with my friend as well and was presented to them as if said friend would be happy they were being objectified. For some people this brings up real life trauma and can make them understandably upset. Keep in mind I'm not advocating for a ban of mods, and I myself would just roll my eyes and report the creep if it happened to me, but telling people to 'not have such thin skin' is extremely insensitive and unrealistic.Could you maybe not have such thin skin about someone you will never meet irl in a video game looking at your ones and zeros charecter panties that also dosent exist? Its all in virtual space and thee creepers can't hurt you unless you let them. Why give a damn about what someone else does? And, more importantly, you wouldnt even knoe unless you asked them.
Why is everyone so fragile that they get so bothered by that, i honestly dont get it.
It's okay not to understand and to not be bothered it - but everyone is different and has been through different life experiences. Just because they don't line up with your own doesn't make them fragile or make their response unwarranted.
To at least one friend? So you don't know if it happened to more of your friends and too how many of them? /doubtBecause there have been a spat of incidents where those creepers have actually gone out of their way to post modded screenshots of other people's characters and tag the players on social media. Let's be real: It happened to one of your friends and your trying to make it sound like a general problem that victimizes like thousands of traumatized players daily :P

Happened to one friend I know of, seen it happen to non-acquaintances over on the tumblr side of the FF14 community on a few occasions. Hence the word 'spat', which implies a few not 'thousands'. You're looking a touch too deeply into my wording, as if I meant to imply it was some bigger thing I would have been clear on that. Not just saying one friend. I'm rather not fond of beating around the bush with that kind of subject matter. If I knew more than one personal friend it happened to, I'd say it outright. No need to scrounge about for deeper meaning or subtle messages. To at least one friend? So you don't know if it happened to more of your friends and too how many of them? /doubt

Likewise I'm not pretending this is an epidemic or that it happens regularly. Just that it does happen and that people have the right to be upset when it does. That's literally the extent of what I was saying in my post. No fearmongering about a large, scary issue. Just 'it happens and here is an example, people are allowed to be upset when it does, the end'. I'd appreciate you not putting words in my mouth.
Pretty sure like 99% of female avatars are dudes IRL anyway.
If seeing a modded image of your charecter nude bothers you, that definitely makes you fragile. Its not you and its just your charecter on a screen, and if it really bothers you, you can just ignore them. People only gain power over you if you let them, so by acknowledging this person showing some nude screenshots of your character on a game would just make them do it more. If it were me, id just say what ever floats your boat man, and go about my life because who gives a crap about some rando person being an ass on the internet.Because there have been a spat of incidents where those creepers have actually gone out of their way to post modded screenshots of other people's characters and tag the players on social media. People now days get so tossed up over the smallest inconsequential things.
I mean its just pixels but if I saw a lewd of my character that someone posted without my knowledge I would be a bit like 'Why would you do that?' Seriously just ask XDIf seeing a modded image of your charecter nude bothers you, that definitely makes you fragile. Well, not 99%. But at least 80-85% I think. And probably about 10-15% male characters are women irl.
The only problem with mods I see for myself is that it makes my character look in a way I didn't intented it to look. On the other hand - it's not my problem since it were them who decided to mess their game with mods. And if somebody makes mods for the sake of seeing others naked... welp, they need some help, I suppose.
last time I saw (years ago), depending on race, it ranged from 15-2% of females playing males. (2% being races like roe, and 15% being elezen)
with 54%-20% of females being played by males. (with 54% either being miqote, or aura, i forget which, and 20% was either roe or elezen, forget which, both were close.)
the number of males playing a female race never exceeded the 50s in any of the census that I saw. (Even in other MMOs)
