I got WAR to 80 and I figured I should do DRK next, so I spend a good hour relearning new DRK and arranging my bars before I felt confident enough to go into a 50/60/70 roulette.
I get Tam-tara (Hard) a nice change of scenery, and I'm fond of it because I remember when it came out it was sometimes so hard to do in roulette that I had groups time-out. I love this dungeon.
It's not nearly as hard anymore, and I'm fully geared, level 70. I should have no problem.
I go in and pull all the mobs, I didn't really look at my healers gear. They were wearing the scaven gear and a WHM, even though they were a sprout, I figure my gear and some CDs should make easy work of it.
We get the mobs about down to half health before I realize...
I'm dying...
I pop another CD and pray. I get a cure.
A single cure. and then I get no more heals and I promptly eat the floor.
Ok, whatever. I respawn, the DPS all die, and the healer is running back. I grab one of the mobs but the healer dies from the other two and they reset, then aggros me.
Whatever. The DPS are there now and we all try to kill the three mobs. And the healer just stays on the floor. I'm thinking maybe they just need a little more time cause I know you have the hold the button. Surely the healer will get up any moment.
Nope, I slowly die, I get back up before the healer does and go to try and save the dps but it's too late.
It's here that I stop and look at my healer... WHO FINALLY GETS BACK UP. I won't lie, I'm livid at this point. It's a level 50 dungeon and we're both level 70, this should be your routine tank and spank.
But upon looking at the healer I notice...
They have on all their left side gear, the aetheryte earrings... and no necklace, bracelet, or rings. It's at this point that I am thinking of kicking them cause I was mad, but I take a breath, and just ask them about it in the chat.
"Where is your gear -insert WHMs name" we sit there for a moment and they don't reply so I add "Why don't you have any jewelry on?"
They finally reply "what" and then one of the DPS, the BRD says "Where's your accessories? :O"
At this point I'm feeling a little bad for them, but I add "Why would you come into a dungeon with no accessories? XD" It's not like the accessories would have saved me before because the problem was not low heals, it was that they just didn't heal me. They accessories were still bad though.
The WHM replies "i should have some on wtf" and the bard replies "I mean we can clearly see your gear >_<"
At this point I'm just rolling at how silly this is, and we wait for them to put them on before I pull more.
It doesn't end there though.
We clear the remaining mobs of the first pull and then do the next pull. Three mobs and then another four. It's a small pull compared to the first one, so I'm not worried. But then I notice... I'm... still... dying.
I look closely at my heals and I realize... THE WHM IS SPAMMING CURE III.
CURE III. OMFG. I'm panicking and popping what I have, praying to Hydaelyn, praying to Zodiark...
Splat, dead again. I'm really discouraged, and nervous. I hate having to teach people when I'm not in mentor roulette. I hate trying to help people only to be told things like "don't tell me how to play." So I usually stay quiet. But I work up the courage anyway.
"Um, Cure III is a Aoe heal." "You should only use cure III when everyone takes dmg, like medica or medica II." "Cure and Cure II are your single target heals" "At this level anyways."
I wait nervously for a reply, worried that I'm gonna get one of those rude replies, but it never comes. The healer just says "Which cure then"
So I explain a little more "Cure for light dmg and cure II for then your tank needs bigger heals." "Cure III and medica when everyone needs heals." "Cure III is targeted to it heals the person targeted and anyone around them in a small circle." "Medica is a big aoe heal"
We go on an I take the time to also explain the bosses, and the difference was phenomenal. Little slip ups, but no more deaths.
I was REALLY proud of the healer, and commed them for their improvement and willingness to learn.
Always nice to get someone that takes constructive advice/criticism and makes an effort to improve.
I actually did the 'left side gear only' thing by accident. I boosted warrior, spent time arranging my bars and seeing how everything worked...only to realize I hadn't equiped my accessories. This happened to me, and probably your healer here, because when you boost a job you're decked out in left side gear but the right side gear is in a separate coffer so I ended up forgetting about it until I was a pull into the dungeon and realized I was oddly squishy, figured out what was wrong, aplogized to the healer and put on the accessories.
Yeah, that was my guess. No one makes it to level 70 manually and doesn't know how to use cure III (I hope...)Always nice to get someone that takes constructive advice/criticism and makes an effort to improve.

Lol I'm in a way, glad they ended up with me in a level 50 dungeon and not in a dungeon that was gonna take a lot more effort.
But I wish they would have read their skills before queuing up all the same ><;
I was playing Haukke Manor Hard for the first time last night as SMN and landed a NIN who thought she was a tank. Rather than wait for the tank to initiate, she'd rush in and grab every enemy's attention onto herself. It worked, sort of, right up until the hallway just before the dungeon boss, where this NIN with a crown proceeded to wall-to-wall pull every enemy in the hall, causing a wipe because I was dumb enough to follow her and the tank and healer I think were still at the hall entrance. I actually died twice on that hall, though the second time was my own damn fault because I got confused and ran down the hall again without checking where everyone was first. We also wiped some three or four times against the dungeon boss itself due to not quite knowing where everything was and how everything worked (I probably wasn't the only one doing it for the first time). Anyway, on what was probably gonna be the last attempt before vote abandon (at request of the healer if we wiped that last attempt) we cleared it, but I don't think anyone came out of that dungeon in a good mood save the NIN with a crown.

I just had a Titan (Hard) run on Dancer where I goofed around 15% and got hit by a bunch of Weights of the Lands (since everyone stacked together). That was lame.
At about 3%, though, the Bard tried to Limit Break Titan, only for Titan to turn around and use Landslide on them. Which not only went off before the Limit Break, but also killed them and sent them flying off the stage.
Titan is mean.![]()
Spammed dungeons to level my RDM (not in the mood for trusts) and got Holminster Switch.
SCH had an alarmingly low HP pool and a quick look at his gear revealed several 290 pieces, including his weapon. We pointed it out but got no reaction at all and he only spammed Physick and let his Fairy do the rest which caused a wipe.
If a RDM can better heal a pull than the actual healer that's definitely cause for concern. And a kick.
And on a side note, I really need to change my keybinds...
Jumping into a huge pull for some sweet Enchanted Moulinet spam - Manafication - more Enchanted Moulinet spam only to fat finger Displacement sucks. But at least I stopped backflipping into death zones/ from platforms.
