Alfgar's Event and Imperial Assault - Why did you make them "random" events?

"limited time" with limited number of people that can participate doesn't make this fun for some players that want to actually get those records in the history... which is why it would be nice if the devs the can increase the frequency of at least the system based live events.

As for the GM's roleplaying... been waiting and haven't seen any yet... heard it popped up once on Melmond server in Ul'dah but bunch of noobs threw snowball at it and it left right away....

This was something that we had asked Yoshida about:

GamerEscape: Currently there are Garlean forces that appear around Eorzea. Right now they’ve been seen around Camp Glory. However, the timing of these events seems random. I’ve actually spent hours sitting in Ul’dah waiting for the NPC to show up for these! Do you think you could make these events more frequent so that players have a better chance of running into this kind of event?

Yoshida: We are currently planning on increasing the frequency of these events, starting with a new type of live event in patch 1.20. However, it was determined that announcing every live event may lead to congestion and even cause a bit of unwanted confusion, so we’ve decided it to keep their schedule secret. Personally, I believe that happening across one of these unpredictable events makes them all the more exciting!

I'm alright with the randomness of the events and them not announcing that part does make it fun and interesting but so far I think these events takes place twice a day at random city and with 16 player limit. Sure doesn't feel like they actually increased the frequency.

I guess in the long run it will work out since the rewards aren't that great doubt those that went in already would do it over and over; I'm just look at overall participation players may/may not I already done one myself so not complaining personally just don't feel right for others that want to actually participate and can't because of the current frequency.

The best option imo was to not even have the history lol if you participated you participated good for you, others don't need to know and by them not knowing they wont feel sad/happy since there is no record of it even took place lol. (some might get mad at me for saying this one lol)
