Titan Savage Fast Bomb Boulders are the worst mechanic in the game.

u dont have to hide behind the rock until the bomb go off, u online need to be behind the rock until the end of cast of "wave" then you can move two lalafell distance and hit sprint, get ready to run after the 1st bomb.

i also measure distances with lalafells.

but I also had to practice this for literally hours to get the placement right. things i learned:

-dont depend on the safety rock to be perfectly center, that will kill you.
-eyeball the center of the 2 boulders you're trying to dodge to find that safe little divot to stand in (that picture above is perfect for demonstrating this)
-you can move the instant seismic wave fills its cast bar

My grp has to do the 3-1 bombs as there are 4 of us with EU latency on NA servers (1 tank, 1 heal, me the dnc and our melee) it sucks to lose a little uptime but it is better than dying/getting dmg down doing 2-1 which is nigh impossible(hyperbole ofc) with our latency as you just can't react fast enough especially if you ever get a blip in connection. This mechanic is the only one way i feel my latency is a problem but thankfully there is a workaround. (if those few gcds cause you to hit enrage than there are other problems going on).

How does DNC get cucked in Titan? This entire raid tier is extremely cozy for DNC. If it's car first the only valid complaint is that you gotta hit the tech at the same time as you pay attention to the explosion cast bar but even then like it's not that big brain, just minor awareness needed. DNC has been a blessing for this raid tier. Easy class, easy alignment lol

You mean that's not a thing already hadn't you heard 1.0 was the single best version of FFXIV there has ever been, will ever be, give us our plant pots with as many polygons as our characters because muh unnecessary high immersion /s

Ranged physical dps can go to the other side if they need to if that means holding technical for an extra few secs(10 at most) then that is what you have to do, with Titan it is better to be safe than sorry

Everyone I've partied with these last 2-3 weeks agrees that this particular mechanic is the most unforgiving of the entire fight. sure, the debuff doesnt kill you if you get hit by only one, but its a pain to have at all. out of every mechanic, this one in particular took the most practice to nail 90% of the time for me. It doesn't need to be changed at all, IMO, but i'd be lying if I said it wasnt the most frustrating mechanic of the fight.

Assuming the boss is centered you can always run to the safe bomb that is on the 3rd set to do the 3 to 1 dodge. If its a far run you will loose uptime with melees but then nobody will die and that is not enough to make you hit enrage on the boss.

This not a difficult mechanic. Sprint isn't even needed. Just have to keep in mind bombs explode circular and don't take up the entire square they occupy.
