I hate getting Holminster and Dohn Mheg in roluette

These 2 dungeons are imo the hardest dungeons released this xpac. Not only are both the most mechanically intensive, they also often attract the worst of the players I feel as well, more than any other dungeon from ShB line up.

The first boss has a lot more dodging than most of the bosses we had in the whole game of all the leveling dungeons.

Whenever I queue in, people are often rocking Susano weapons (ilv 320) or hell, even the High Steel job gear if GNB or DNC (Ilv 255 NQ!). What's worse, these dungeons are far more punishing than the later ones, which baffles me, why is this difficulty curve harder at the curve then gets easier?

Also, people play a lot worse as well for these 2 dungeons, runs often take a lot more effort and work to get through. I spent more time on average in these if bad players hold me down than 75-79. I pray for if I get Qitana, Makilah or even Mt Gulg, they're not as screwable to DF as Holminster or Dohn, not to mention easier pulls overall.

Why can't people just easily gear up and be ready to play their job at 71, it's been 70 levels beforehand and 3 xpacs prior to get to here. (This is rhetorical)

I have never had any problems there, but I have only levelled 1 dps so far so maybe it's because of that.

I feel ya, but it's more because of trying to level trusts. Just seeing the title of your thread brought the Holminster theme blasting to the front of my mind... not that it's bad, just running it too many times in a row has made me sick of it. Haven't even unlocked Dohn Mheg with trusts yet. I had to take a break.

Makilah was the first dungeon in the MSQ that I wasn't enthused about. The others just had so many unique elements that the environment seemed boring at the outset. The boss was pretty cool though.

I do highly recommend that someone playing the MSQ for the first time use the trust system. Not only is it immersive to see the characters talk and react to things, but it exposes players to the mechanics and how to run the dungeon smoothly. This would also help them level up their gear before jumping into the roulette.

So yeah, when I go into roulette, I hope for Qitana, Dohn Mheg, or Mt. Gulg... just from running them the least. But at this point, I can heal Holminster in my sleep.

I don't recommend trusts, they make the duties so boring that they become impossible to clear because you get so bored that you have to quit.

This is not true. I have 3 jobs left to level and outside of daily roulettes have leveled all of them with trusts.

Hmm I've not had these problems when getting either, I've healed, tanked and DPS'd them multiple times thus far. Maybe the OP is unlucky in this regard. I figure maybe when ShB had just come out, then yes, it's expected. But arguably, to get as far as Holminster or Dohn Mheg, you will have gotten through tougher content. Unless people skip potion, but I don't think the content should be adjusted to accommodate skip potion users, they themselves should adjust based on the fact they've skip potioned. I've done the same in other MMO's, I never jump into current content when I have, but build-up to it so I am used to it and know what I'm doing.

If you pulled the same trick on me and then look at all my SCH posts you might think "what you talkin' 'bout Willis? You don't even have it levelled, you've got AST 77 and that's your only healer". People level alts and don't necessarily attached their main to their forum profile.

I have an almost OCD need to level something if it needs to be leveled but after one run of HS with the Trust I realised that my life is too short.

Meh, leveling with trust is not that bad, I'll level my heal and Tank with it because I don't want to handle speed expectation and still, I can level 71-80 in less than a week while taking my sweet time.
