There is a need for a soft/small build male though. We have representation in average and large builds, but nothing in the small category.

And by small, I mean something that still looks like an adult but with a thinner and svelte build that's around miqo'te Hight.

That's subjective though, male midlander can fill a soft small build if that's what you'd want. Their min height is 5'6 which is relatively short when compared to other male races. Even if that didn't "fit" what you wanted, asking for a muscle slider on male miqo'te is more reasonable in my opinion than co-opting an entire racial gender to fit that niche, it's the same as people who wanted female viera to be smaller in height.

Viera is just the scapegoat. It wouldn't matter what race it would be. There'd still be arguments for both sides.

I don't think anyone has anything against a new race that covers "small" "stout" "soft" or "cute" akin to lalafell or miqo'te being added as long as they don't resemble children/pre-pubescent teenagers as some posters seem to want.

While I shan't deny there may be those that have ill intentions with a younger looking male, I will say that some folks have taken that crowd and placed anyone wanting a smaller built male into that category as well as accusing people that want a svelte male of "hi-jacking" the race and then they go and say it should have a large and burly build. Clearly when its in their favor, it's not "hi-jacking" but any kind of hint at something different? Yep that's "hi-jacking" the race entirely.

So please do pardon any bitterness in my posts, I believe the blatant hypocrisy more than a few fine folk have had throughout this thread can explain why I have it.

To be fair we don't really "need" it. Would be nice to have it, just like how Hrothgar were added for those who enjoy a larger physique, but it's not a necessity for the sake of balance. If anything what we "need" is a race with a Highlander or Lalafell build.

Elezen:Au Ra, Hroth:Roe, Midlander:Miqo'te. Highlanders are the one "in between" and if you prefer to play that kind of body build you're pretty much stuck with being a highlander. Same for lalafell. But that's just on the "need for balance" subject. On a personal level I'd like male Viera to be akin to Elezen, but just slightly shorter. Honest just give me a masculine build of Fem Roes when it comes to body for male Viera and I'll be happy.

Devils make a pretty good point. Perhaps male Viera would end up being the fuzzy counterpart for male Highlanders if they are going to keep up this pattern. Female Viera have been described as taller miqote, but they could also be described as bunny eared female Highlanders without a muscle slider. Hmmm...

We can argue that for any built. We dont need it to play the game.

Taste is just different for everyone and just because someone wanted to have a more "feminine" male does not mean that they are from the same group of people that put their males in such clothes. Honestly I have seen more Roe males in "extreme" outfits with bright makeup than for example Midlanders.
