decent players are those that know their job kit and can pull of combos and know basic stuff about it.
what makes a good player is knowledge, experience and handling under pressure.

bad players are those that barely do something (barely do dps, barely do heals or barely take aggro) and expect the others to do the jobs for them.
you never start as being good, you first learned your kit and gained experience until u mastered the job you play.
you might have high expectations at harder content but you need to remember most of us start as decent players only after we gain experience we level up to being good ^^.

they are banned.. granted they kind of put their foot in their mouths with banning it by incorporating enrage timers in every fight, thus they need to decide what kind of game they want. you can't make content that requires a chart and then not allow it, and there is no need for a chart if its a "everyone gets a trophy and we can carry everyone" game.

None of these raids were difficult - they just weren't LotA/ST faceroll-easy.
well they were hard enough so a lot of people could not clear them and instead they got vote abandonned, including labyrinth and syrcus tower.

In my experience, it was more like they were hard enough that people lost *patience* and *decided* they couldn't clear or just didn't want to keep trying.

If I had a dollar for every time somebody started a vote abandon after one (1) wipe in weeping city...

...well, I could probably go out to lunch at least.

Not hard enough to be unclearable by any sort of majority. They just required people to pay attention and actually work. Some don't want to do that.

I'm with the poster who said people lost patience and no longer wanted to try when they didn't clear the first time.

Having a parser IS bannable, but it's generally overlooked until something like this happens. Most of the people using them? You would never even know. They don't have it to ride your ass and they don't really even care what your numbers are. They care about their own improvement.

Honestly, if we had a way to go smash on a dummy for 60 seconds to 5 minutes, then see a summary of our damage, I'd be satisfied. "Oh, I did 5.5k? Let me try THIS rotation. Ah! 6.5k! That's better!"

Personally, I think a parser is a wonderful tool for those of us who are always working to improve ourselves (ourselves being the key word), but there's always that dou***knuckle who puts people on blast, makes himself look like a d**k, and ruins it for everyone.

I don't care about your numbers. As long as you're having fun, and as long as you aren't PURPOSELY trying to be bad to ruin my experience, you've got my support. I *do* care about my numbers, though. I need to see improvement for myself. The game just wouldn't be the same for me without it.

I've been playing since 2.0ish, not 100% certain when, but I remember the release of all ARR alliance raids and I could count on one hand the number of times people actually vote abandoned LotA. Syrcus was abandoned even less.

And this was back when people had to work the towers during King Behemoth and Step into AoEs during the second boss fight of Syrcus, and jump to the side platforms to avoid the massive AoE. People were fine at the game back then, everything was doable and while WoD was incredibly frustrating upon release because some people are slow to learn, it still wasn't abandoned that often because people wanted to get these things done.

I've seen vote abandons mostly on savage/ex content as of late. I can honestly say it's not me for those faults either, since love tanking and experiencing the mechanics. But when I'm pulling 7.2k DPS and some DPS aren't even 5k, I know why we're failing. I don't call them out, but damn it hurts to see such low performance from others.

So, what did I do? I leveled a healer, thinking I'll have better luck and still contribute to DPS while keeping others alive when they fail mechanics. Yet again, people kept performing poorly, and again didn't speak up about it and simply accepted the vote abandon when it came up.

What's worse, is I can't technically help them, since can't say why I know they are performing so poorly. So it;s an endless loop of them failing again and again. And when you get 2-4 people who can't keep up, it's doomed from the start.

When we are talking of savage content, players must expect to not pass easily.

Much better than have all of them doing the real thing, only to meet with failure every time, without understand they are one of the reasons for it.

As long as savage content is tuned for the expert, not casual, people, I find it appropriate to have a test, like SSS, mandatory for the unlock. Yes I agree someone doesn't understand what savage is, and will whine in forum because their casual play doesn't let them pass.
