    It's not a bad idea. Right now your best bet for crafter and gatherer leveling gear is to keep all your crafters and gatherers as close to each other in level as possible. That way they can share gear with one another.

    ^^ This.
    Leveling all the DoH/DoL classes in parallell not only means you are always able to gather/craft any materials you need yourself, but you can also share gear among all the classes - so no need to have any crafting gear in storage. (Well, maybe one set stored if you get it in advance.)
