Had a Ravel run i got where they were 8 mins in. Replaced a blackmage that was kicked under harassment for not using their full rotation expected at 76. one of the kickers had been the mentor whom had the most stellar attitude.

No problems aside from me realizing its sunday and i ended up in a party that was openly having one of those days, and i just kept quiet got my experience commed the tank the only real nice one and just left. I love playing this game on sundays...everyone is just in a fantastic mood. Suddenly I'm glad I've never done raids, I can't imagine how stellar those are on sundays.

There's nothing "sad" about that. You aren't entitled to having someone hold your hand through everything. People need to take responsibility for their own knowledge.

Ultimately you have two options to choose from: Either go in blind and accept whatever happens, or watch a video and go in prepared. You don't get to just show up and demand someone holds your hand through everything or wastes everyone's time explaining everything for 10 minutes pre-pull. That's just rude and selfish and lazy.

Next expansion, I'm gonna wait like a week, and then watch videos for all the dungeons/trials.

Why would you do that? I feel like you didn't even read my post. You can go in blind for any story content you want just don't act like you're entitled to have people stand around explaining everything to you. Also the first week of any content always has different rules, you're *supposed* to do everything blind. If you're trying to get people to explain stuff to you day 1 or week 1 of new content then that's even more dumb than doing it when it's old.

Tbf she never said it's sad no one holds her hand and explains everything when she's new (or other peeps) - it's sad others are rude abt not getting mechanics and stuff wrong on first run. There's no entitlement in wanting decency from others

That is an extremely unpopular opinion on these forums. These players should have their hands held, and told everything is all right - "They are just a toxic WoW refugee", when they get criticism.

After four weeks of wipeing on E2S we FINALLY killed him. I'm so happy I could cry right now. Shout out and all my thanks to the random beautiful WHM who filled our missing spot through party finder after our static-healer bailed on us, you were glorious!

Okay so I don't know what it is with Scholars, Holminster Switch, and my DRK but good golly gee. Got yet another bad, rude SCH who didn't heal, complained (this time about me not having melds. At level 72? really?), then bailed before the end of the first wall pull. And this run was my first try at playing DRK again after the last time with the rude SCH that got kicked a few days ago. Same dungeon. Same jobs. Same pull. Different days. And they were both replaced by good ASTs.

Talk about deja vu.... I don't think I'm ever going to tank outside of trusts again

Okay, big rant incoming. I am so done with people on Ex roulette and Titania normal.

I am currently still leveling my DPS jobs, my focus is on MNK and BLM. Twice I got into Titania normal now (ofc duty in progress).
First time on BLM. 22 min remaining... okay, party is pretty empty, and according to the chat only 2 DPS from the orignial party were left. While we were waiting I marked the add positions that need to be tanked. Filled at ~15 min remaining. We start and it takes ages to get her to around 50%, when we finally enter add phase - no deaths until then. First add phase 1 tank dies due to missing heals, and I noticed my huuuge aggro lead on the east add. (Yeah, I was on BLM, but I shouldn't be at 200-250% of other DPS aggro on a focused add.) Tank gets rezzed, and when all adds died we were already at 50% on the enrage gauge! Did we see add enrage tho? No, because both healers died to the first big AoEs. We wiped, but still had time for 1 more pull, but the 2nd try didn't went well either. The tanks didn't die during the first add phase, but we reached 50% yet again. I did caster lb 3, but died to AoE due to animation lock. Well, it was useless anyway because both healers died to AoE yet again...

And just yesterday I got into the same trial in progress with 50+ min remaining. On MNK this time. It was pretty much the same story, despite there were no deaths, dps was abysmal low, we reached 64% before add phase... and adds took ages, too. Again 50% on wipe meter for first phase. And apparently we had 1k IQ healers chilling in the south-east corner, far far away from the tanks... I guess you can imagine what happened to them... they died, then I died due to aggro, even with Riddle of Earth, Bloodbath and Second Wind, there was no heal... didn't want to go throught the same again and left.

In those runs, I did about 50% more dps than the next best, tanks doing less than half of mine, and 2 DPS were even lower than that... in short I did a good quarter of the whole raid dps... even more funny is that I didn't notice anyone with a jump potion. I can't even...

But what should I expect anyway... those people complain about MSQ difficulty, and then you see them as DNC in the Twinning using single target on trash pulls... without finishing a single combo... or a dance partner... despite that I mentioned it 5 times already... and then your PLD kills you with his AoE, but you have nowhere to run... (btw no Requiescat the whole dungeon either)

I think I need to take a break... and a drink... Casualbringers is killing me (mentally).

The worst I found in SHB was trying to get people NOT to explain mechanics. We didn't want spoilers and to just experience it, but some dude was ranting about his pizza in the oven which will be done in 10 mins so we had to be quick to appease him. Don't Q for a dungeon if you know you don't have the time, jfc. ಠ益ಠ

somehow i feel insulted as a Scholar user myself. I've not had a problem healing Drk tanks in Holmster switch...not even the ones with sub par gear if i can keep on top of my rotation at least 50% oif the time. how people make it look more difficult than it is in ANY dungeon is beyond me. the only times I've failed is if the tank is just taking far more damage than I could possibly heal for. (which lets be honest if a tank doesn't do cds they're going to, gotta love them bear busters.)

I've found i learn faster and more fluidly by having to do the run and most times I'm really quick to guess a mechanic after seeing it once or twice. after that its a matter of adjustments party member wise you have to do.
