The radiant brilliance of your enthrallment is blinding you to an absolute truth - the unreasonable and indefensible wait time. Not only did it say don’t play the character but you even posted the part where it said don’t play the character.
You played the character.
I don’t see the problem.
When no action occurred after ten days, why did you not file something or reach out to either inquire or get your ticket canceled?
You did exactly what it says not to do, and exactly what it says would happen; happened.
yep, but still, from the additional testimonies here, it is safe to say that even if you contact them, you wouldn't be able to cancel the ticket (that they didnt even provide a number in the first place), nor get concrete information anyway as their teams don't talk to each other...
The ticket probably would of been pushed back anyways because this one took months. Not only did it say don’t play the character but you even posted the part where it said don’t play the character.

Yes, the OP fooked up by playing and continued playing
but the dude waited all this time, and then they FINALLY get back to him after 3 months when they lied
and said it should took 7-10 days. How is that fair? Not only the playtime had to given up, he woulda
had to wait all this additional time, which was several months. That's the main issue here.
I woulda forgot I submitted the damned thing by then.
Let's not sit here and think SE's support is any good, it's one of the worst I've seen if not the worst.
They fooked up here more than he did.
Agreed, this situation was handled very badly. He waited ten days, nothing happened. What might have happened is that he would have contacted support again, and they would have gone 'oh, I'll put the request back in for you once more.' Which is another '7-10' days of him paying for a service he can't actually use - unless OP has an alt.The ticket probably would of been pushed back anyways because this one took months.

But this is what really gets me, the request wasn't lost or anything - it seemed to have been backlogged. Several months after the fact they still went ahead and did the rollback. If they saw the account was active, why not follow up on the request and send a message to ask for more information?
I'm still baffled about the fact you can't stop a rollback request once it's pushed through. So even if he did contact them, it could be very much possible that he would simply have to wait for the request to be processed and that a second one couldn't be done.
Sigh - doesn't surprise me that there might have been one heck of a backlog with the twitch scams happening.
At the very least they should give you 3 months of free game time.
I know someone who was wrongfully banned, they knew the ban was wrong but couldn't lift it early, they just contacted him and apologized to him once the ban was over, but didn't refund the lost play time either.
My guess is that the people working at CS don't have any tools to grant accounts free play time, which goes in line with how little SE cares about customer support.
Yeah, no. You have to enter your info. A link by itself does nothing. It either A, has to install malware or a virus or keylogger on your PC. Or B, the easy part. Has a login screen that just captures your login and doesn't do anything otherwise. This is what those links do.Man, this post went from apologising to the OP to straight-up berating him in less than five seconds. Actually, if I recall - you don't HAVE to put in your information. You just have to click the link and it does the rest. It's not like when someone sends you a scam email.
The links would look like official links from Square - like the Twitch ones. All you had to do was click on the link and wham. So many people got trapped with that one. No idea how they actually go about that, part of me hopes it's false hearsay because that's a major 'Ooof'.
People who were complaining about it just said they were watching the twitch link and didn't put in their information - though can't you connect your FF account to twitch, I know ESO has this? Anyway, they claim it wasn't their 'game' information, hearsay and all that. Either way I was assuming it was A, they clicked on a bad link and were directed to a website/etc which had malware. As one does when they just get linked through a shoddy website. I sure as heck wasn't going to test it even with my anti-malware etc. Though, I'm certainly of the mind that there's more than a few who just freely gave their login details to the 'mimic' FF14 account.Yeah, no. Part of me wonders if the whole 'steam' situation was also pushed ahead because of this scam.

It is indefensibly bad at the best of times.Let's not sit here and think SE's support is any good, it's one of the worst I've seen if not the worst.
I had to deal with them after the authenticator issues they had right after ARR launch (a batch of them were compromised and a bunch of accounts were stripped clean).
I STILL, to this day, cannot recover that account, because i cant provide the authenticator information (which is impossible to do based on the steps they told us to take at the time).
They're the absolute worst MMO CS team. You can get better help from free to play mobile cashgrab teams in less time. And those companies do a lot of shady stuff on the CS backend...
While this sounds pretty odd to me, if true, the fact that you did the opposite of what you were told without bothering to contact help again could possibly have something to do with why this happened. I would have just rolled another character to play on while waiting. It seems very odd to me that you would lose anything you paid real money for, as that should have nothing really to do with this rollback. They don't roll back the mogstation.
