Given everything.... I reckon it's most likely going to be Kholusia but I think the dwarves will only play a marginal role, or at least not the whole tribe just a few select individuals. Thancred and Urianger are involved in Eden, so it's reasonable to assume the other Scions will be involved in the 5.x non-MSQ content.

Y'shtola is researching ancient Ronka right now which lowkey feels like the perfect way to set up the Trial series, and I reckon Alpinaud being located in Kholusia will hear tell of the Machina Graveyard and investigate it giving us an in to YorHa. Alisaie might join him, or there's a possibility she'll be more involved in the MSQ than the others.

The big Fate Boss from Kholusia to my eyes kinda looks like the dwarves repurposed some Automata tech anyway, so either way I think it's more likely to at least start in Kholusia, then move on from there.

I was thinking the dwarf plot was going to be the next deep dungeon. The whole "digging too deep" dwarf trope and all that. The machines coulr be Nier i guess, i just assumed it was alluding to the monsters and construction of the dungeon.

I'm hoping it's more Drakengard than Nier just to troll the people screaming at the top of their lungs for 2P. Complete with arbitrary difficulties and I. Hear. A. Sound.

Heck, maybe the Cathedral City will somehow be related to Ishgard (as seen in a certain 8th Umbral Calamity cutscene) and we get time shenanigans with Alexander/Omega. I personally like to believe Omega being a certain space traversing character born from NieR.

This makes it all the more exciting imo. I think he has some constraints, dealing with an existing franchise and not a new game, so if it causes subs to drop or is uncompletable due to difficulty, scary marketing lady cracks her whip.
