FFXIV Fashion makes me sad at times.

My goddess players are never satisified. High heels on armour have been constantly requested by players for ages so this is giving players what they wanted. If you don't like it glamour something else over it, it's as simple as that.

Really Yoshi may as well not even bother trying to keep players happy as no matter what he does it will be wrong to someone (I feel so sorry for him when these sorts of threads show up as they're like a kick in the teeth to him, as he takes his position seriously and really does try to keep everyone happy regardless of criticism).

I like the caster/healer boots for my ladies or even for my pretty boy Aura. Just on my highlander they are strange. Don't get me wrong man, I appreciate the work the design team does. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

I'm tired of all healer gear being designed for females. I use a glamour from ARR still. The Eden's gate gear looks straight up drag.

The Deepshadow Boots of casting they have like 3-4 inch heels on them skinny heels at that! C'mon on Yoshi-San! I play a 200lb 6'4 Highlander how is he suppose to scrabble around cliffs and jump off of towers in those?!

By glamouring them into something else? The vast majority of boots, even for healers, are flat-soled and practical.

I've never quite seen the point of complaining about what "this round" of gear looks like. It's introducing new design options in to the game - if you don't like it, you just continue to use an older outfit glamoured onto it.

We have so many flat shoes to chose from but heels, how many? These and the bonewicca ones? Maybe one or two more for Blackmage but that's it. People need to chill, it's not like you can't glamour them.

My characters have long hair and I died inside seeing the new gear. I dont want an updo, I want my wicked weaves. So back to ARR glams I go. Almost all the 5.0 items clip across multiple jobs with their gaudy pauldrons and bad collars.

There is exactly one way to say it - the way I said it. I won't apologize for having taste, and you shouldn't apologize for a person who thinks everything should be a gaudy dress. There are talented artists and costume designers out there just waiting to be discovered, but a player base numbering in the millions is somehow forced to choose among like 20 usable items. I mean, look at costume contests - they always yield better designs than whatever their staff came up with, and that's really sad.
