The person who designs costumes needs to not only get fired, but to also never work again in the industry.

There are many outfits in this game I like and some I do not. I like that there is wide variety though, so that I and others can glam to our preferences. Are there some things I would like changed ir added? Yes. But there are better ways to say it than the above.

There is exactly one way to say it - the way I said it. I won't apologize for having taste, and you shouldn't apologize for a person who thinks everything should be a gaudy dress. There are talented artists and costume designers out there just waiting to be discovered, but a player base numbering in the millions is somehow forced to choose among like 20 usable items. I mean, look at costume contests - they always yield better designs than whatever their staff came up with, and that's really sad.

Debatable. High Allagan is one of my favourite sets for tank. Gordias, Alexander, Diamond, too.

Not to mention, there are plenty of designs in costume contests that are inspired by gear that is already in the game.
(Example being, Lost Allagan. It's supposed to be inspired by the Allagan stuff in general, which you can clearly tell if you look at allagan weapons and all.)

They make plenty of good sets, and I dislike or like plenty of them. Personally, I didn't like the Skallic set on basically anyone but healer. Just didn't work. Lost Allagan on anyone but tank didn't really work out that well either, it just doesn't look as good.
Then again, those were made by the staff, the ones that weren't the original designs.

The point of me saying this is it's all up to opinion. Your taste is not end all be all, as much as you would like it to be judging from your wording.

Calling for them to be fired however is bad. Could there be more variety? Yes, I agree. I'm a healer main and I do think we need more variety. But firing someone for lack of variety? That's too far and an attitude I vehemently disagree with.

If FFXIV has terrible design, then what GW2 has?
They have it like 10 times worse than we have, have you seen armours in that game? Most of them looks like a total mess. :f
