I can't even begin to guess what they come up with this time, but at least I hope Eureka 2.0 keeps its grubby hands off of them.
I'm fine with Eureka 2.0 existing, I just don't want to have any reasons to go in there, ever.

I just hope they get a little more creative with it than they did in eureka. They got so lazy in there with names like pagos sword, pyros sword. I get that you blew all the good sword names on ARR relic books (bet they’re regretting that one) but come up with something..
This^^^
I really like those weapons, and the Eureka gear for that matter, but not nearly enough to grind out Eureka for them. I doubt I'll ever go back to get them, unless it ends up being really easy to solo in an expansion sometime down the road...
I really, really hope that the new relics aren't tied to anything like that again.
If we keep the "good side" of Eureka, I liked the following :
- a dedicated place for it
- a dedicated system for it
- the addition of decent armour as a bonus
Too bad Eureka's implementation was that bad, especially before Pyros. But it allowed for a better story (I really didn't like Anima, Zodiac was meh but I'm not done there), even if it was a bit slow.
Unfortunately it has its drawbacks, because if you don't like it, you can't do it at all, where Anima you could find ways to work around Sands and Light.
I'd like something that involves crafting somewhere, even if it is a parallel way instead of grinding things. But I really don't want anything involving tomestone farming again.
I will say something: if relic will come back to obnoxious RNG or poetic farmings perhaps is better to just stop adding them for good.
after the dumpster fire that was Eureka, I expect absolutely nothing
They should come up with some kind of augmentation slot. Instead of giving us a new weapon for every step, hand out a new aug you can insert into that slot that adds ilevels and according statsand visual effects to the base weapon. That way you could scrap savage weapons as well, just make the highest aug for the weapon a savage reward, that way it would be bis even for raiders, and bis for non raiders, just a few ilevels lower since they cannot easily obtain the final augmentation. If a new tier of raids comes out, add even better augs as rewards, keeping the relic relevant through all of the expansion.

This sounds a bit redundant when you can just equip whatever weapon is BiS and glam the relic over it...They should come up with some kind of augmentation slot. Relics are not an alternative to crafted weapons and for sure not an alternative to savage weapons until the last patch cycle of the expansion. If anything, relics are an alternative to extreme primal weapons. But in general, are irrelevant most of the expansion life cycle. If SE is not willing to make exclusive, and enjoyable, content for relics, why even bother? SE can put the extra skins in any other content.
