Oh gods, I almost forgot about you and your attempt at a gated community since after you begged for attention on twitter. Welp, here's the attention you so clearly need. You're welcome.

Ok gang, we ALL know about the multiple house hoarder and seller. Even if he bought the whole ward it's a drop in the bucket toward what is needed to allow everyone to have their own house. Giving this guy attention is only exacerbating the situation because he obviously enjoys it. Ignore him, never buy his real estate and continue to bug SE where the real culprits are.
"Fanboy is gaming jargon used to describe an individual that has gone beyond the point of being a PC or console game fan and, during online chats or discussions, shifts to defend the program at all costs, unable to take any criticism or acknowledge any shortcomings of the game or gaming console."
I don't own a house. I just have an apartment.
I think it's fine that housing is a bit exclusive. Not everyone should be able to own one.
I do think that there should still be more plots though so a larger % of active players are allowed to own one.
I think what should be changed is how you can purchase them. It shouldn't be as frustrating to miss out on a house.
I don't want any instanced housing really but it would be nice to have "instanced" gardening plots.
Fwiw, I agree with the initial OP post. However, through the charts you pulled from the censor, if I recall, don't the NA players outnumber the EU and JP player base almost 2-1? I seem to recall at one point someone pointing that out in a live letter a while ago over the housing issue when it first began. If that is still the case, then the charts would need to either be updated or noted about that.
Already knew before reading any of this that it would be ignored solely because of who posted it. Ad hominem always prevails.
I mostly agree with what you posted. Except that the house reclamation is long.
I will always firmly stand by my stance that the best solution would be a true reverse auction system. I suggested this years ago, but I think StouterTaru posted about it on the forums before I ever did.

Out of all the posts that have been removed, it had to be a reply to this one. lolFwiw, I agree with the initial OP post. The total amount of characters doesn't mean much as only active players are able to keep a house.
So you just edit out comments you don't like? How telling. Filtered, biased, and edited equals sophistry. There are better ways do view FF14 housing and better cures for it, too.
The simplest solution is often the best: add more wards and expand FC rooms and apartments to include lawn options OR create instanced housing in, say, Iddlyshire or Coerthas. They can handle it. And this way no one even has to lose what they have.

What are you even saying lmao
Yeah, let's disregard how they have already pointed out that they cannot keep adding more and more. Such a simple solution indeed.
yeah that´s a load of bull...You have to earn that money just as you have to earn your shiny weapons. The length I go for earning money and buying houses is the way you view clearing every single raid on the hardest difficulty and acquiring every last glowing goodness there is to show off. We just care about different things. But players can choose to challenge themselves in the way they want, and I choose to do so by having a neighborhood of houses. The only problem is the achievement I'm after is a limited resource while the other stuff is unlimited. Nothing I can do about that, I get what I want and I go whatever length necessary. Wouldn't you say the same about the things you pursue?
Going with the house system its more like you clear your raids do your quests and then have to wait that someone throws away their gear so another one gets freed for you
