The fact I am able to point to the SCH and AST equivalents in the majority of WHM healing and DPS spells I think is a testament to how homogenised they are. We joke in our group that the choice in healer jobs are WHM with a faerie, WHM with wings or WHM with cards.

Even to a certain degree Adloquium and Regen may find themselves used in the same situation, despite having a different effect, though Adlo more frequently. I guess a testament to it is that I was playing AST the other day and halfway through a dungeon I was like "I'm in Diurnal, I thought I was in Nocturnal", although they are supposed to be different playstyles, I was able to play them identically without noticing a difference.

I think each class needs areas they're weak in, so they have to use their toolset differently. This is one of the main reasons I liked 2.0 healing, because SCH was weak where WHM was strong and vice versa, it meant I had to think or work harder to keep up with the bits WHM found easier. I liked that.

I hate how much clipping WHM has and I find it unfair that it has no kind of AoE shield like the other two healers (like Protect as an oGCD or so). Other than that it's totally fine.

mark my words, soon history will repeat itself like it was in SB

drop your WHM before it too late and go level SCH or ASTRO if you want keep your raid slot

    what WHM got now ?
    - dmg ? nope
    - utility nope
    - barrier ? LOL ...
    - healing ? lol
    - oh yeah we have useless holy for raids ...

YES IM ANGRY I HAVE TO DROP AGAIN MY FAV HEALER CAUSE OF SCHOLARS WHINING and play SCH cause I hate astro over life !!

GJ SE from angry WHM player ...

and ppls think that WHM is already OP ...
I'm assuming this is a joke. WHM not only does the most damage out of all healers, but also the 2nd most healing (at least at the 75th percentile). They have the most parses out of all healers in savage content as well so there are no problems finding a raid slot as a WHM.

    Here's some evidence:

WHM doing most damage, based on all eden savage raids at the 75th percentile:
    https://www.fflogs.com/zone/statistics/29#class=Healers

WHM 2nd most healing, based on all eden savage raids at the 75th percentile
    https://www.fflogs.com/zone/statistics/29#metric=hps

SCH is in no way OP either. They do the 2nd most damage below WHM and the worst healing.

After leveling SCH to 80 I literally said to some of my friends in-game: "Remember when SCH was bad at AoE healing?"

ARR was a mess, and it definitely had issues, but it had a lot of abilities I miss and some balance choices that worked out.

The data you quote is rdps, which means sch and ast's party contribution (Chain Stratagem, card buffs) are concluded in their personal dps.
And with that considered, whms still contribute more dps... and as the most popular healers in the current savage contents.

So the actual number of DPS listed in ACT for SCH/AST is their total contribution now, or is it in a separate area as a combined total? I'd like to gauge where my DPS stands with A+R DPS but I am unsure of where to look.

As far as I can tell in ACT, it shows pDPS, and when it gets uploaded there's when fflogs shows rDPS

Make SCH great again! Seriously though, we just want our class to be fun and engaging again, not OP, is that too much to ask for?

Darn. There's no way to see it without it being uploaded then maybe...

Thanks for the info. I might need to upload my logs to see what I'm actually putting out during Ex/Savage runs.
