actually, they could introduce them into the game with the lore surrounding the 7th umbral era. When the maps are changed and the servers are switched there could be a influx of Padjal's who seek to return the realm to peace or something like that. Lore is what ever the writers write.

that being said i wouldn't mind if they were a race, but im really hoping for some more unique races as well.

I think we have enough human-races-with-one-additional-feature now.

How about we have some awesome final fantasy-esque races? The artists for this game are excellent, I'm sure they can come up with some awesome stuff.

If not, bring in some of the epic races from other FFs, but that's not really preferable in my opinion.
