I'm grateful for every single tank asking "XY, you want to MT?" in DF or even waiting to see if the other person takes the lead because this aggro dck fight is just annoying and absolutely not helpful. It tends to mess up positionals and it's annoying for healers who just blew their oGCD on the not-anymore-MT. You don't need two tanks in most 8man, you don't even need two healers in most 8man, so one of them always tends to feel like an accessory and green/ blue dps but that's just the way it is.
Doesn't make you a bad player for being OT or dpsing because the other healer got this. On the contrary, people who willingly step back in order to avoid dck fights are already candidates for comms for me. I really appreciate this.

Was trying to do Titania EX today for my friend to get their weapon as they wanted to switch to MCH as their main, I set up a PF group but I worked all day and forgot to put as Duty Complete, we zone in and there's a new bonus. I sigh and go who has the new bonus? The tank speaks up and says its him I just had enough trap groups in E1S and E2S that day so I didn't wanna deal with a new bonus (note the group was also advertised as a farm not a clear) I didn't wanna teach or anything just wanted to get my friend their weapon.

I back out get ready to kick the PLD and one of the DPS goes "wow you're such a douche LOL I feel for the guy I'm leaving no need to make people feel like crap", I didn't bring anyone down I just said sorry man I'm just gonna have to replace you. Afterwards I get whispers from them saying that I'm a jerk and I should give people the benefit of the doubt, that I'm a bad person IRL, I just told em its my group and I accidentally didn't put Duty Complete, they both continue to spam me until I just blacklisted them.

The group disbanded after that person made that comment like seriously its my PF and it was a farm party not a clear party people really do suck and want free rides sorry I'm not doing that if you have an attitude like that nor do I want to get you your clear to be carried in a farm party.

When I OT, which is usually when I have a cotank, I use Shirk on CD because messing with the boss aggro is the worst and I ensure I have Tank Stance up to firmly place myself as 2nd in aggro. And as a SAM main, dealing with shifting positionals is the bane of my existence, which, since this is always something on my mind, has greatly helped me when I MT or OT.

For making a mistake on the Party Condition?

It sucks to join a party where the group leader made a mistake, but you just take the apology and move on. Players shouldn't expect carries in farm groups, even to be "given a chance", you start in Practice, work your way up to Duty Completion groups with enrage experience and earn your kill. Then you deserve your spot.

How is Awful the bad guy here? They clearly put in the PF "farm party" and someone joined that didn't have a clear. You can't farm the content if you've never cleared it. Sure, they forgot to put "Duty Complete" - it happens sometimes. But saying that they were going to replace the individual who didn't clear doesn't call for the abusive /tells they proceeded to receive, I'm sorry to say. And it's actually not uncommon for people to receive messages like this from people - having been on the receiving end of such /tells myself. I highly doubt that Awful would make this up, given the interactions I have had with them myself on this very forum. You're very presumptuous.

Have you ever been in a farm party with players like this? It’s frustrating to say the least. I personally think it was inconsiderate of the tank to join the farm party while he has never completed the duty before.

If kicking someone for joining a farm party without completing the duty is “douchebag” behavior to you, that’s a problem. People shouldn’t expect carries and get mad when they don’t get them. Period.

Someone new joining a farming PF in hoping for a clear has been existed ever since the dawn of time.
And I'm actually giving my sympathy toward Awful for having a random user in a gaming forum blatantly out of nowhere calling her a douche bag and made a baseless accusation.
