Again, it’s about location. Personally I don’t agree with posting questions like “Why do you HATE healers?” in the Q&A thread (though I do understand the sentiment), and think we should be polite when talking to the devs (or their representatives) directly. Talking to each other on the healer forums, though? That’s an appropriate place for us to vent.

Also, there is a lot of logic in those “ranty“ threads, albeit some of it is a bit buried. I’ve seen many posts articulating exactly why it is the current state of healers isn’t satisfactory to a lot of healer mains (or ex-healer mains), and some really well thought out suggestions for alternative changes.

Anyway, since we’re here to talk about things that annoy us, I’ll go with the lack of any tools for official polling and feedback on changes. A lot of people seem unhappy, and several others claim to be fine with the new changes. I really wish that SE would create some tool to get quantifiable and reliable feedback, so we could say for sure whether whether those of us in the healer forums are actually representative of the general healer community, or whether we’re just a loud and upset minority.

P.S. If being polite and logical was guaranteed not getting ignored we wouldn’t be in this situation. There were plenty of logical and respectful healer questions in the question thread for the live letter. It was only in the wake of those being ignored that healers started to get rowdy.

I dunno why but BRD players always annoy me. Not saying all of them are annoying mind you but these cases concern exclusively BRDs. So, it annoys me when:

-They don't do Peloton
-They pull bosses before the tank (I don't mind trash pulls)
-They jump and run everywhere
-Always stand behind me when I'm tanking and GET OUTTA HERE YOU'RE GONNA GET HURT!!!

Haha as someone who has mained BRD since I started playing some 5 years ago, being able to move (sans HW bowmage 2015-2017) and run/jump around is the most fun part. Though its particularly when the tank pulled too small and I'm immediately bored at the lack of enemies to spread my dots with. Additionally, I will also be most annoying in low level dungeons that are boring AF and I've run them more times than I can count. So I guess, the conclusion here is that I jump and run around out of boredom.

But I especially agree with the lack of Peloton with some BRDs I've run with. I always use it because its my main goal to 'get in and get out' with dungeons so running fast in between pulls is a blessing. But when I'm in a party with a phys range who doesn't use it, that's angering. Also on the same page, I only pull bosses when tank is taking too damn long to pull the boss, IE: 30+ secs just sitting at the start of the boss room. That's just irritating and a waste of time.

And the standing behind the tank is just a bad player trait or just simply someone who hasn't learned their lesson yet. Young melee players and healers do it too!

Unbalanced bgm. Battle and boss music is way louder than field music. Certain locations such as gold saucer louder than field music once again. Still can't disable every fate music which again is way louder than field music. Notifications such as "quest accepted" is thrown together with bgm setting instead of sound. Don't let me even get started on login screen music, which was who knows why increased in a recent patch. I have to keep changing volume on my speakers as I play and it annoys the hell out of me.

how did I forget that?
My bgm is locked in 35% volume with all other things at 100%. But even in 35% it gets louder sometimes. In the login screen it's kinda like 3000% louder... '-'

* I don't like the prevalence of hypersensitivity, where criticism and advice are considered harassment, or when people try to police the way in which I refer to myself, or the things I enjoy. And by "hypersensitivity" I don't mean people who report usages of slurs in a chatlog, I mean the very act of requesting tank stance being met with "dont tell me how to play."

Or, as a healer, "Could you please use a cooldown?" to be met with "no" and either followed with an insult, or with the "all the other healers heal me just fine without a cooldown so you're the one who sucks"
