Lets be honest here, there's only 1 spot on Expert Roullete where you could possibly die from a pull and its the 2nd pull before the 2nd boss on the Twinning. Those 2 mobs that casts Berserk on themselves plus the 9 other mobs whaling at you, it doesnt matter if you ilvl470, if your healer is new, or your DPS is new or lagging, There is a ALWAYS a chance you could die. Your chances of dying is higher if you use Direct Hit for very obvious reasons.

Hence, that is why Tenacity is better for casual content for players who usually solo queue. If you do roulletes with FC members on a daily basis, it doesn't matter if your using Piety on your tank melds. Nobody cares and nobody will say anything lol.

Again, Please read before responding. If your Boyfriend raids, then that's his excuse for having Direct Hit on his gear. But please don't try to push Direct Hit on everyone else.

You don't even need Direct Hit even if your raiding. There's a guy on the last 2 pages that said he has full tenacity melds and is clearing savage Eden just fine. All your doing is making those 2 Healers heal harder while expecting them to DPS as well.
No, you don't need it - but it's good to have. Like how BRDs melds are crit > dh > det. If you're maxed on crit, you go to dh - that's how you make the most out of your melds. if I see a MCH/BRD with sks - I'm going to laugh but I'm not going to say anything, just going to OOOF because that doesn't seem comfy with that clipping. If you're not raiding, crafting/gathering end game then you don't need to meld and no one expects your gear to be melded. If you are raiding people expect you to have the most beneficial melds in your gear. What's so difficult to comprehend. Also, lol, tenacity is a good to have for tanks who are progressing in raid, most like to have sks, dh, det and then tenacity, however, and people who meld this also clear without a problem - first week.

People have cleared without overmelds, and the basic of melds in place. Skill beats melds.
