This ain't rationalization. It's reality. It's not bias, it's knowing how the system works. A request like this, would be like a single drop of water falling into the ocean. That's it, plain and simple. Nothing would be sacrificed because it would not take that long to do. The major groundwork is already there, they'd just be tweaking it. They don't have to make some point of no return choice of one thing or another, they can very likely do both...at the same time or set one thing on the side burner while working on the other. Eventually, you'll get both. That's not sacrifice that's just priorities.

It is literally impossible for it to not require anything be sacrificed. You would have to rewrite reality to change that.
