The Amaro mount...

think of it as a Veteran reward where you get rewarded for investing a lot of time in the game. Idk why people are really upset about this.

Its not that there is a mount behind getting all battle jobs to 80 that is the problem. (And I really wished that you would get mounts for doing the same with crafters and gatherers) The problem is that we do not get a single mount for free by playing through the MSQ like we did in the last expansions. (Some expansions even had more than one free mount) and at the same time the Amaro is just the most common animal you can get on the first.

im not really suffering from a shortage of mounts, so not getting a free one from the MSQ is fine with me. We'll still likely get 2 mounts from beast tribes, theres a craftable one atm as well. I didn't see people really excited about the Yol mount until ShB didn't give a free mount.

I only have 11 mounts now, and the Amaro is just another that I will never get. There's no way I'll grind all those jobs to max. I can barely stand working on leveling my crafters, let alone tanks and healers.

this is actually impressive. I have 68 mounts and yet you have the frog mount before me... I cant seem to have the luck to have that fate pop when Im online.

What I gathered from this entire thread this that it's kinda bunk that DOW/DOM magic have a special mount for players into the hardcore combat side of the game, and Tanks further have a special mount and that gathers and crafters , which are equally as popular are just straight shafted.

I just wish leveling wasn't so damn boring. I'm already burned out of grinding dungeons and roulettes. I need a break. I really want this mount but it's literally making me want to do something else.

Meh, It's not that I'm opposed to leveling different jobs. I'm more opposed to leveling different jobs I don't like and will never play again. Maybe if the achievement was two of each type to 80 two heals, two DPS, two tanks.

I was hoping for the Amaro to be a quest reward I really adored them and the story.

But like Savage mounts if you want them you have to work for them. It sucks but it is what it is!

You can actually get the frog and the pet in like a day, but I don't really know the optimal way to do so. A friend of a friend did, and got my friend both as well, but I don't really know exactly how he knew when they were up cross world or whatever. I think he had timers or something, I don't do hunts that often though, so I don't really have that down..

I personally am glad it's a mount you can work towards. No RNG drop like in EX trials, no paywall in mogstation, no grinding in Eureka. Getting all jobs to 80 may sound harsh but it's something you can slowly work towards over the coming weeks/months. Everytime you earn XP on one of your DoW/DoM you contributed towards getting the mount

I was sad when it was not the reward for the MSQ or doing all the class quests like I thought... It will be time for the next expansion before I get mine if my pattern for leveling holds up.

that crowd has been defeated by those of us who think a truly optional mount should be more impressive than something that's seen all over the MSQ and that it's super cheap of them to not give us any story mounts for the first time in an expansion.
