I don’t get some of the responses in this thread tbh.

How can one say both of these at the same time?

“It’s only an Amaro? We should get a flashier reward!”

“The Amaro is locked behind getting all DoW and DoM? That’s unfair!”

If you don’t think the reward is worth the time then the answer is to decide not to put the work to get it and then be happy.

It makes sense to me. They're essentially saying that a world-shifted chocobo is too mundane to be worth the grind of getting all jobs to 80, and something flashier would seem more appropriate as a reward to such a task. Something as setting common and essential as an Amaro seems like the sort of thing handed out in MSQ or an easy side mission (like the Yol, or the company chocobo).

Getting every job to 80 to unlock the same mount you can ride on from porters is... bizarre.

As someone who levels all their classes to max. I do feel like it would of been better as a MSQ reward. Could of been introduced to it and given it after the rescue quest. Maybe even develop it a bit as a character in the Amaro fae quests.

Could of even had it customizable like the Chocobo. And getting max DoW/DoM would reward you with armour for the Amaro.

As someone who had everything at 70 when Shadowbringers started, I personally don't mind it. I'm slowly getting my DPS classes to cap (still need to do so for Bard, Samurai, and Dancer). I probably won't do Tanks and Healers to 80 until Shadowbringers' version of PotD comes out, though.

That being said, I know there are players who probably only play 1 - 3 jobs and haven't touched many if any of the others, and I can understand why they would be upset. That's kind of a tall order to be given suddenly, leveling 9 or so jobs from 1 - 80, then seven more from 30/50/60 - 80.

Also, to everyone complaining about the Amaro being 'too mundane'? Then don't do it??? It's a reward. A present for doing an achievement. If you don't like it... DON'T. DO. IT. Spoiled. Brats. I can see why people raise eyebrows at the EN forums a lot... good GRIEF. The Amaro reward is a nod towards Seto? You want a flashy mount, go farm the EXs for the Gwibbers. The Amaro is a cute little 'reward'. If you don't like or want it... don't do it. Don't use it. Not everything needs to be huge flashy and glowie. I like you. The only thing I would add is it wouldn't matter what they offered as a reward for maxing 80's. People would complain regardless as they can't get it quickly. Gamers must have instant gratification and its quite sad as it ruins the journey.

No, but we did get a mount from the SB MSQ for simply working through the story. We also got 3 mount in HW's MSQ. The amaro would have been a perfect MSQ mount, especially with how linked they are to the story.


But I guess if you want to keep ranting about spoiled brats, who are we to stop you?
