IIRC Burst's damage increases as your HP drops so it's main use seems to be a final attack before you drop or to use right after Convert. Its damage will probably be lower or similar to Thundaga's if your HP is high. If that's the case then Thundaga's crit bonuses will push it ahead in that situation.

It does, but that's its combo bonus. Thundaga's is increased critical damage, which is a harder check to achieve over lower HP. There is no doubt that using Burst after Convert is the ideal way to increase its damage, as well as there is no doubt that it will be incredibly risky to do. Especially after a Thunder > Thundara combo. Tanks will rage at the enmity change lol.

However, because its instant cast and because it's only a 5 second recast makes it far more better then Thundaga (in theory). The only issue is going to be DMG:MP. Enmity is always an issue so I leave that out.

The chance to crit both spells is equal, just Thundaga gets a modifier if it occurs. It's just all speculation at this point though.

Or that it does more damage?

Or how long the recast timer is?

We know its instant cast from data mining, of course everything is always subject to change, but I'll take the information we have now about it over not knowing anything about it. I never said it would do more damage by the way...
