Did Water and Ice swap colours in Shadowbringers?

You have your colors mixed up.
Water has always been dark blue, while Ice has always been light blue/cyan.

The only exceptions to those color "rules" are AST's cards, which are different.

And yeah, our very first "Crystal of Light" was Water-aspected, while the one we found over Stone Vigil was Ice-aspected (which made sense, given the place we found it).

See, that's how I thought things were supposed to be, so thanks for confirming that. But that just reinforces my confusion at the two cutscenes I mentioned from Shadowbringers.

In these pictures, to me Ice looks Blue and Water looks Cyan, when as you say it should be the other way around.

I guess they were a bit "liberal" when it came to their shades of blue.
Regardless, the darker one should be Water, while the lighter one should be Ice.

For the Exarch's explanation on the Calamities/Rejoinings, the Ice-based Calamity had a lighter shade of blue (almost white, even) when compared to the Water-based one.

As for that giant crystal in the Empty, I'd say we wait until we actually restore its Ice aspect (with Shiva being the most likely candidate to do so) before we jump to conclusions.
It may be an even lighter shade of blue, which would mean that it'd be Ice-aspected.

If you notice the Water calamity is a darker shade of blue, which makes it easier to see in the screenshots, while the ice is a lighter shade of blue, which makes it really hard to see in the screenshots as it basically merges into the background flooring. So the colors are correct in terms of shading.

The eden water crystal is not a very good thing to use for comparison because we lack an ice crystal to compare it to.
