Why do you care so much about what other people want? How does this affect you in any way, shape or form? Guess what? It doesn't.

Because the Viera are actually in fact a Popular Race in FF. Plus they were teased way back in concept art for Heavenward.
Not to mention said concept art showed a Male figure. So at this point it was a matter of time they would be in the game, and now that thread is a big giant ""We want Male Viera"" thread. And there is nothing wrong with that (Although I personally as an FF fan dont think we need them..but..)

Now for Female Hrothgar, Im part of this camp because I like Beast Races, and I know there are plenty of others that also love Beast Races. They arn't human or Humanoid so it offers a Diverse choice for a Player Character. I never thought FFXIV would get a playable beast race, and BOOM here they are. Now Im just waiting in hoping that we will get Female Hrothgar so I can play a female and my Female Glamours on my current avatar can be transferred over. While I LOVE the males, I even have an ALT, I want this character to stay female. Thats just my 2 cents.

when leaks said "lion race" alot did speculated and figured those guys would be pretty much what we would get
70% human with lion features

i am glad we got actual beast like race for once
i do hope they dont cop out and be femroe with a slight muzzle just not even a cat face

definitely cool possibility of lioness,Tiger,Leopard or even Ocelot type heads on them

Bless Online. And I agree, if male Hrothgar were "Roe-fied Miqo'te" I'd say it's good, but they're not - they're indistinguishably humanoid cats, so keep the beast male/waifu female trope away from them.
