I agree with that. 1.0 using it was fine because it was a new game and it was great that people got at least some differences if you played that but after all we have gone through since that point? No I dont want to lose all the development and progress my character has with all these NPCs. Also for no great reason too. I also have a hard time seeing how a world stitched together by such a huge amount of continents would be great. It would leave such a mess.
I would like it more if we simply become powerful enough after the defeat of Elidibus so that we can travel between dimensions thus leave the source behind. This way they can take a break from the scions without taking away precious memories and interaction and give us new lands, new lore and new people with that. And introduce the villians of those shards to us, maybe even the chance to meet more WoLs.
He would have to reach her first (but he also would somehow need to get to Zodiark too and we do know that this one is still sleeping his beauty sleep right now) and defeat her without her doing anything for protection Also would be funny if that would make it easier to kill him since we are the primal slayers. So RIP Zenos (until he cheats his way back..)
Also great to know that I am not the only one surprised to see how much we can eat...but I am sure it was Ardbert who ate them all!
Well he would first need to know about its existence and needs to be able to just walk there without anyone (or us) trying to stop him. And then have an epic boss battle of pure wits against Matoya (which he looses because she is just that awesome)
And I may be alone in that but please let Kefka be Kefka and Zenos be Zenos. I honestly dont find it interesting to have an enemy where people say that he is just like "insert name here". I want him to be remembered for his own character and not as a phantom of someone else.

Thing is after we render the top gods inert/dead/conquered, there pretty much isnt going to be anything that can stop us.
I think ending up all powerful to exert our will on other shards is far worse than losing our memories or reputation.
as a 1.0 player, I want to go back to just being known as an adventurer, not as some ubermensch no one can compare to.

Well someone like Ranjit wants to have a word with you about nothing stopping us. Also its not about exerting our will on other shards, its about visiting them, maybe we are even going to be the new guardian of these worlds and just make sure that the problems the Ascians have left behind are gone. Its not like we go around and force people to do what we want them to do.
The problems with the memories gone is: We as a player still remember. Its not like we also lose them. This will just end up being frustrating imo. Going from a blank cardboard box to a character with his own feelings and memories to a cardboard box again just feels bad to me.
Ascians is hardly where our involvement ends, usually we involve ourselves in the people everyday lives, one thing leads to another, and suddenly we are taking over countries as a side errand because some nut said to do otherwise is indolence. Sure let's have future adventures, but no more of having the world lean on us. That's not much better than the two that need to be deposed.
And Ran'jit still died at our hands in the end.

Same.
By the nature of the game, at some point the main story needs to end but our characters need to carry on. I think that whatever happens in the end and whatever heights of power we have to take on to get there, the conclusion may "bring us down to normal" so we're no longer all-powerful and back to just being (still very skilled) adventurers again.
We did not just take over countries just because someone said it. We took it back for the people that lived there after they said that they wanted to get it back. Hien himself was like: So what do the people want, my head or my blade? You make it sound like someone just comes to us and says: give me that country, but its not true. We are fighting for the people that want their land back.
And what is wrong with taking part in peoples lifes? A lot of those people even want us in their life because we solve their problems. So us going to other shards and seeing a village under monster attack and saving them is bad? My idea is more along the way of simply doing quests as an adventurer while looking if some of those things the Ascians still planned before their demise are going to cause problems. I dont want us to go and liberate another country that we have no personal attachment too.
And yes Ranjit died at the end but SE shows that they are ready to just introduce these really powerful enemies out of nowhere anyway. So these could easily just be the big bad for each adventure. I mean lets be real, after defeating Bahamut, Omega, Middy in his prime (even if its just a imagination), Thordan and his knights with the power of thousand years of prayers, there should have already be none to match our powers. Yet here is a Zenos, and here is a Ranjit. And here suddenly we need the Scions as NPCs on our side in dungeons and against Lightwardens. (But of course not against one of the strongest which is Innocenz) Our power levels really are just where the plot wants us to be. And normal stuff is done by us without any problems anyway.
On a side note: I do find it interesting to that seemingly we are right now the only WoL on the source while the first shard had a whole team of them. (And there were more in the past) I found that to be a nice hint that we simply dont need more WoLs because we are more complete then those on the shard or those of the past who even had bigger crystals too.
I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. On Season 1 FInale topic...
I still say WoL is going to be pushed back down to being "Normal" adventurer to prepare for Season 2 Storyline where the beginning is a "New Adventure" for the 7.0+ Storyline.
The Finale of Seaosn 1 is already being set up that we are literally going to fight the God of the World being Zodiark (with maybe some help from Hydaelyn) then end it with a Super Primal Powered God of Gods Zenos which he will be even more powerful than both Zodiark and Hydaelyn. At this point it would mean WoL is literally a God/Goddess him or herself due to being able to defeat the very Will of the Planet and a being that far surpass the Will of the Planet's own power.
How Season 2 may begin is still speculation but I still believe it may begin with WoL arriving in a New Unexplored Continent through a Expedition supported by the Adventurer Guild and the Alliance since with the threat of Zodiark, Ascians, and Garlean Empire now gone a opportunity has been opened to begin exploring lands that have yet to be reached by the Garleans, Adventurer Guild, and Alliance. This would then lead to discovering new Civilizations, cultures, and open more lore for future Jobs not related to current Civilizations we know about currently.
