PETITION: Regarding FINAL FANTASY XIV Steam Version (Mar. 8)

It's nice to know that even after 40 pages of comments against this, SE is still going to plough ahead with this without any new information as to why they feel they have to do this.

We've known for 5 years now that the "Steam version" was identical to the non-Steam version. Why make the change now and force additional restrictions?

I doubt it's SE but more like Steam making sure they get their cut by enforcing the rules. You chose to buy the Steam version so you have to put up with Valve. If you dont like it buy the PC version.

We can't! That's the problem!

An account can only have PC Steam or PC non-Steam, not both.

And Square Enix's Lodestone post about this literally starts "As part of our fraud prevention measures". Not that Valve/Steam is making them, but that they are choosing to.
