They slaughtered Gunbreaker? Am I in the twilight zone? They're not "ignoring feedback" they're just not going to address it until the live letter, which is perfectly normal. Don't expect major changes until 5.1
Part of SB was to remove the need/desire to stare at your hotbars by adding the job gauge and simplifying jobs. With everything sounding like an explosion, you have to watch now, and that's obnoxious for content you need to look around at. Also you say this but they just updated the GNB sounds out of no where with no warning, I wouldn't say it's perfectly normal to "update" a job without any warning about something that isn't considered an "error". It'd be normal if they addressed really how many actually would like a change and then let us know in the next live letter before they changed it 3 WEEKS INTO THE EXPANSION. Rather they should've left it open to feedback until the live letter and save their resources/time for the actual errors and main issues at hand like how many healers MECHANICALLY can't play healer. The problem here is as you claim, mechanically it's fine, and it sounded just fine, so why even waste effort/time on it when there are things with actual errors needing to be addressed? It's like someone else is bleeding out and ready to die but someone accidentally bumped their arm a bit. WELL CLEARLY THAT BUMPED ARM NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION STAT, QUICK, GIVE HIM THE IV PACK. Meanwhile the person with the bumped arm is like "no I'm fine, no need", the person bleeding out is desperately going "HELP ME PLZ I CAN'T EVEN MOVE" and the team is going "OH GOD HE'S DELUSIONAL, QUICK-" you get my point by now... Or you should at least considering this argument. A change that was no where near necessary or needed any attention this soon into a brand new expansion (GNB SFX) V.S. issues that genuinely stopped people from being able to play their job efficiently and mechanically perform their role(s)(AST/SCH issues).

Bro, you’re literally dumping this class easily because of an irrelevant change. Doesn’t sound like you liked the class that much if something so insignificant sends you off on a melodramatic frenzy. The rest of your comment is just hyperbole. What’s actually infuriating are the same 50 threads that keep popping up beating the same dead horse. Our class isn’t mechanically broken, it’s very well balanced, and currently top tank dps. There’s also the fact that it’s a love letter to FF8 fans. Don’t let something so trivial tear you away from a class you like. Like what Vahlnir said, it’s not an ideal change, but shouldn’t be a dealbreaker.

I already geared it fully, I'm eaving it as it is until they fix it, otherwise I can play DRK again. I didn't give up on it hoping they'd address the sounds by today but no. None of it is hyoerbole and you keep repeating yourself at this point so I'm not sure why you even respond to this thread. Agree to disagree and move on, people want changes and to love their GNB again, if you don't... cool. If you do, great. Either way, your argument isn't gaining you any clarity and it's not changing the point here that GNB's sounds are dreadfully obnoxious to have to hear and play with in content. If you're wanting these "50 threadS" (nice hyoerbole btw) to die, then don't respond in em? I already said its not mechnically broken, and idc about it being top dps or bottom dps, I play for the gameplay/quality/immersion/sound in an MMO. Our desires are different here, go eslewhere if you intend to bicker with people about something you clearly dont agree with. What you consider trivial is not trivial to others, and what someone's opinion to them to keep playing a job is entirely to each person. Me? I don't want to play a job that doesnt feel fun to me, sorry, that's my opinion, deal with it?

EDIT: this all said and done, I'm at my daily limit of posts for the day so... Idk what else to tell you, we care, if you don't, okay then? You're not changing anyone's mind here, sounds are important to us in a job's gameplay, not to you, we get it. That doesn't change anything here, I'm still upset with the job changes and will play a job that hasn't had enough changes to bother me and actually is satisfying to play until they address gunbreaker's sound effects.

    EDIT 2:

Second, I'm voicing my opinion because people are blowing up an issue that's literally bottom tier when it comes to the list of things currently wrong. I agree that there should have been more discussion about sound adjustments. I also agreed about the new sounds not being entirely perfect. What I'm vehemently disagreeing with is the idea that the entire class feels different. This is objectively not true. You're also contradicting yourself here stating that you think "mechanics are fine" when I can literally scroll up and see your prior comment stating the opposite. There are some absurd claims in this thread that quite frankly make my head hurt. Clearly there was a bigger majority of people than you realize who were dissatisfied with the old sounds. The team wouldn't have made such a quick fix if that weren't the case. Whether or not they resolve this, I'm still going to enjoy the class. Let's patiently wait for the live letter, yeah?
No one's once said "the entire class feels different". I've declared multiple times it's lost satisfaction in its job. And my hotbar is optimized as it can be for a keyboard player like myself, you still like to check cooldowns and for a job like GNB it's nice to not have to worry about which step of the combo you're in of a 6 hit combo connecting. Skills can miss, latency can be an issue, mechanics can happen and your rotation and get screwy whether you know your positions or not, you still check your hotbar... OR you hear the sounds of your animations in full going off. I'm one for both but the "issues with my hotbar" isn't an issue, the sounds are though. If you can scroll up and point out the obvious, do so freely, I never once said "mechanically" this job is flawed, I said it FEELS different because the satisfaction of the sounds have altered how good you feel doing its' skills. Please by all means point out where I'm contradicting myself, if it's making your head hurt, just stop already. And CLEARLY I did my research and found the page of people who were "dissatisfied" with the sounds and have found arguably x4 as many more angry with this new change than the original complaints. Including the JP forums and here, in game, media, so on and so forth. Your argument is already being made in another thread and it's already been clarified there too so I'm not going to try and argue the "they wouldn't have done it if" claim.

If you're going to enjoy the job and ignore our headache... go do so and forget us then? It clearly sounds like you're in disagreement with the majority here as is and you're wasting time coming here to just say "I'm fine with things now and will enjoy the class for now". That's great you can, I can't personally and have tried for the 2 weeks we've had these awful sounds. Again, sorry but I am in disagreement... oh well?
