Suggestion: Please remove the penalty, for "leaving" a preformed raid

As the title suggests: In addition to, "Role and item level restrictions are lifted for parties meeting minimum size requirements" ... Maybe a good change would be to make it so that...

Penalties, for "leaving" a roulette / trial / dungeon / raid, should NOT be incurred when meeting "minimum size requirements" -- as it assumes that the party was preformed in its entirety beforehand, and communication with other party members had already been established, and all involved being in consensus with leaving the duty.

For example, your party leader queues up for a leveling roulette, but you were in a level 80 job, and clicked accept by mistake. You notice this error in the dungeon, and say in party chat, "oh darn everyone, I queued as the wrong job, can I switch out?" .... "sure mate, no problem" .... click the <Leave Duty> button, aaannnd... get a 30-minute penalty. "Well snaps guys ... looks like I can't go with you for another 30 minutes."

So, in scenarios like this, it would punish the entire party if one or more people leave the duty in this way, and for no fault of their own.

Suggestion: Please remove penalties, for "leaving" an instanced duty, when the party meets "minimum size requirements."

    Thank you

This is not a good example. When your duty pops it shows you the job you were at the time of queuing, you have that opportunity to accept or decline joining the party. You do not need to literally enter a duty to realise whether you were the wrong job or not, just withdraw the queue and change to whatever it was you wanted. Withdrawals can be done 3 times before it issues a 30min penalty.

Not only that but if you are going to have your party comp messed up for 30 mins due to a leaving penalty it'd be better to just blast through the dungeon and only waste 15-20 mins at worse

That's cool and all, and thanks for the comments btw.

However, the reason why a penalty was added in the first place was to deter players from queue-trolling the Duty Finder. True story: in the days following the release of ARR 2.0, it was not uncommon for tanks to queue up for a dungeon, only to leave moments later, thereby causing much grief for the other players remaining in the dungeon, while they had to either wait for a new player to fill the abandoned role, or leave and re-queue.

This 30-minute penalty system was a blanket solution, as it works quite well, but the Devs did their jobs only too well. That said however, it can be fine-tuned to meet the exception to the rule: the same that allows preformed parties to enter a dungeon duty as -- for example -- 4 WHMs.

So, in the same way that "Role and item level restrictions are lifted for parties meeting minimum size requirements," the same can be added as an exception to imposing the 30-minute penalty for leaving a duty: "Penalties for leaving a duty in-progress are lifted for parties meeting minimum size requirements." Makes sense right?

Regardless of the reasoning, this doesn't really seem like a "localization" issue - you might be better served posting it in the Gameplay -> Dungeons forum so it can be seen by people who are actually involved with those decisions.

If you're a full party you won't incur any penalty.

If you're not a full party, then you just forced someone, somewhere to reenter the queue. The penalty for repeated withdraws is needed here to keep people from trolling the queue. (Anyone remember the early ARR days where you might spend 30+ minutes pushing "commence" because someone kept withdrawing every time the queue popped?)
