We don’t even know what the potency of Energy Drain will be—if it will remain what it used to be or be less. I highly doubt it will be more. Even still, Aetherflow will still be used for healing. Not all three are going to be dumped on Energy Drain even in the most optimized speedkills.


As it stands, AST is actually still the healer that looks like it will be behind the other two. Once Eden Savage numbers start coming in, we’ll know for sure where it stands, but it was already ~900 rDPS behind WHM in the EX trials and Eden Normal Mode. And the change to Divination is not going to give it ~900 rDPS, just like the re-addition of Energy Drain isn’t suddenly going to bring SCH up to WHM’s rDPS level. I think you’re really overreacting here.

I doubt anybody wants to do that. But they’re picking up on the inaccuracies of your post. Whilst there are still issues that need addressing on WHM. But if we are talking balance, then WHM is in a good place. Other things, maybe not. These changes off a little QoL and address balance issues. But none of them really address the big issues affected the three healers from an enjoyment and satisfaction perspective.

Not going to say anything about Whm as there plenty of Whm players to testify that its in a good spot right now. I dropped Whm end HW cause of the lily mechanic being useless, never commented on it during SB in anyway shape or form. They butchered Ast healing and dps, I am not looking for Ast to be top dog. But when I struggle to heal 4 mans while Whm and Sch sneeze heal their way through them there is a problem. Sorry our heals getting some buffs gots you crapping your pants..

If anything, people have been talking about how weak AST is - not SCH. With regards to SCH, the complaints have been about a boring DPS rotation and lack of an Aetherflow dump. At least one of those has been rectified now. Most of the forum has been praising WHM for the spot its in, not sneering at it. So I don't think we're reading the same forums.

And? That's still the case, we're happy to have ED back, sure, but you're insane if you think that alone is enough to make scholar magically OP, when it's a well needed aetherflow dump. And if they do give us back our rotation to shut us up, they can still let WHM stay at its higher pDPS by doing this 1 simple fix, reduce potencies on the abilities scholar has.

I argue this, but I've seen you post enough to know you'll still whine that, God forbid, a class be fun. a class cant be both engaging and balanced, if it's fun and engaging that automatically equals OP.

Yes. We complain that we lost the complexity of our kits. I want 2 15 potency DoTs instead of one 30 potency. Or one 20 one 10. I am 100% happy for WHM to remain ahead in the dps numbers race, and I have not seen a single SCH disagree with that. Heck, if they needed to increase the potency of Glare to 1000 and decrease the potency of Broil 3 to 100 to keep it balanced I would support that.

Please, find me a single instance of SCH's asking explicitly for bigger dps numbers.
