Epitome of a "Green DPS". Sorry you all went through that. Was doing one of the new 70 dungeons with my friends, I was playing dps, and my friends were playing the other dps and a tank. Our healer barely healed at all and was pretty much solely focusing on dps, we dodged all the mechanics, etc, to make it easier on the healer, but when we were hit by unavoidable raid wide damage, and the tank was hit by tankbusters, etc, the healer pretty much never healed us, and continued to dps. which led the tank to die, and then us. when we asked the healer to try and heal more, they shot back at us with "I like to dps" and "if you'd like to talk dps numbers" etcetc, like, wtf? I mean, It's great if you can get in some dps as a healer, but your main priority should be to focus on keeping your team alive, instead of letting them die, so you can dps more instead....needless to say, we kicked them after first boss, and got a much better healer in their place, who found out the great mystery of balancing their dps with their heals.
No dungeons has taught you to pull the entire room and let your healers suffer trying to keep up.
If they did, please show me which one. Tanks should really think about their healers.
They are like a couple in this game. Stop abusing them lmao. People barely wanna heal
anymore as is from the crappy balance changes and here you are kicking them for not able
to keep up with your balls to walls pulls. Jebers Christ.
Edit: (I can't find the original post here, but I assume Van had a healer in a dungeon that couldn't keep up?)

Went into a leveling roulette with my SO as red mage and bard, we get The Thousand Maws of Totorak.
Long dungeon but its alright, we're well geared and have the damage to burst things down.. Tank is dark knight and healer is white mage.
We get the notification that someone is new and it becomes obvious that it is the white mage.
Our tank immediately gets into business, long pulling and dragging the mobs down to just before you turn off.
As we're hitting the mobs, I notice that the tank's health bar is well.. almost in the single digits.
I immediately try to glance around for the healer and find her standing beside us, casting... Medica.
She would just keep spamming medica and of course, the tank's health didn't really go up too much.
Thankfully, we somehow manage to get through until the first boss just fine with her constantly aoe healing.
We tried to communicate to use cure however she either didn't care or didn't understand, despite my use of the auto-translate function..
Looking at the party members list confirmed my suspicions which is why I did it. (Fellow EU datacenter members will probably understand what I mean.)
We take down the first boss, the white mage casts one whole cure on our tank and immediately disconnects after we defeat it.
Rather confused, we continued on and after five minutes, decided to replace.
It was honestly hilarious looking back at it now but I hope for future parties sake that well.. She doesn't spam just medica! ^^
Not trying to stop you, not in my power to stop you. I and many others are trying to open your eyes to other ways of thinking so that next time you find yourself in a situation instead of berating the healer who might be new or made a mistake you remain calm and give them some advice.

just want to say thanks to my party in tsukky nm who waited for us to return after the server crash. players like them are one of the reasons why I keep playing this game <3 ^____^ <3 <3 <3
You all really think a level 65 who plays terribly can be fixed with a bit of advice?
Van_arn is unfortunately right. Kicks exist for a reason. If a player can't handle the content they queue for, then they should come back to it when they can handle it.
Level 65 isn't "new"
Level 50 isn't "new"
If you use a skip potion to get to that point as well then you are setting yourself up for a kick.
You don't learn to play at +60, you learn to play at +15, with gradual increases to your combos and skills as you go.

He's also being realistic too though: you can't expect people to just say 'oh hey its cool you don't know how to do this.' you gotta be ready to deal with those kinds of people too. just because we'll say I'll be nice to you doesn't mean the expectation isn't basic among the rest of the 60% of tank players or people running parties in easier content. Not trying to stop you, not in my power to stop you. On topic: i just got booted from ddos and i think it may have to do with how much massacre i was doing to the first boss in the 63 dungeon....that bar never hit 21% so fast...

I got booted as well Shiba. Lobby servers don't seem to like the influx of people trying to get back on. I feel bad too because the healer we had in our group broke all of her gear during the second masspull to the first boss in Shishui. I felt bad for her.
