So... um, this happened to a friend of mine.

I’d be tempted to either be like, “You know, I think I’m just going to go craft/gather for 30 minutes” or “...are you trying to COMPEL A PLAYSTYLE on me? Because that’s against the ToS” if I ever ran into this healer.

Not to mention that kicking someone for "differences in playstyle" is a perfectly valid reason and this person was just asking for that. I wonder how many times they've been vote dismissed, lol.

So... um, this happened to a friend of mine.

It's fine to ask for bigger/smaller pulls but that's going way too far. I'd kindly show myself out as well.

I was levelling an alt the other day and was doing the Amdapor Keep step for it's Relic reborn quest. Dungeon pops and the healer and other dps announce that they hadn't done it before. It's not really a hard dungeon, and I'm at least super over geared going in even with the sync. So, I say "no worries." And mention the demon box minion chest that's just to the left of the first boss room....and the tank is already gone. So, I hit peloton and hope we catch up before he gets too tunnel visioned to know that nobody is behind him. We catch up but he just keeps going all the way to the first boss room pulling everything. Next thing I know everyone is dead, except me. Then I am.

Respawn. and suddenly the tank is running back to the start followed by everything that was in the hallway that didn't follow him all the way to the first boss the last time. We kill those and he then heads back pulls the stuff in front of the boss room and runs in. We kill the boss and he jumps into the portal. The healer asks, "so I guess we just skipped that chest?" and I said "yup." so on the way to the demon wall she's asking details about the chest. I told her there were still a dullahan and a few cultists standing by it when we went in. The tank and the melee dps have started to bicker about wtf the tank is doing since he has now stopped pulling everything and is now trying to run through all the dullahans, angled corridors and statues without fighting anything.

Of course 4 people can't really do that at the same time very effectively especially if nobody knows that that is what the plan is. So, I just gave up and protected the healer from random aggros. At a couple points I couldn't find his blue dot on my map so he was either really far ahead or dead and running back. The other dps just got crankier and crankier and the tank just got pissed because nobody was following him and left before the last boss telling us how long we would have to wait. I dodged a succubus aoe and we had a new tank, I think he forgot what expansion this is. FYI, healer shortage. Finished the last boss in record time. And as I was exiting I think I saw the healer zoning back to the beginning to go get that chest.

I have no idea what that guy was thinking.

It boggles my mind how people use "millenial" as an insult. The oldest "millenials" are 39 years old while the youngest are 23.

Its why Xennial is now being used to refer to the older section of "millennials", as they have completely distinct defining characteristics throughout each stage of life as millennials do.

The differences between how a 35 year old grew up and how a 25 year old grew up are as culturally remote as a 35 year old and their parents.

"Millenial" has turned into nothing more than a buzzword used by

Titania Normal. Three tries to kill her, no new players.

Try one: We sort of, kind of limp to the add phase. A few deaths from . Adds go wild, somehow the tanks realise they need to be picked up. BRD thinks using the LB on the small adds, in spite of it looking like we'd need the healer LB3, is the best course of action. Big adds are not tanked at all, so they start picking people off. Tanks are told to pick them up. Whatever, reset and go again.

Intermission one: Hah. No, nearly instant pull.

Try two: First phase is a little better, no random deaths aside from the AST running into pink markers. Little adds are picked up by the WAR, but both tanks still think Mustardseed is their priority. Whatever, it's normal, the adds don't get Vuln down. Big adds are still not picked up. Big adds still. I bluntly state that the tanks should not be on Mustardseed (since they don't seem able to juggle picking the adds up with doing DPS).

Intermission two: One tank finally asks what they should do. They then proceed to ask what the big adds are. Finally, we get to the source of the problem and have fixed it. Hopefully.

Try three: Actual kill, but the time it took to kill the big adds made it look a bit dicey. Follow this up with the ground being set alight both times Flame Rune was cast, because stacking with the party in the water is so passé. Moving to where the Frost Rune will hit last? Unnecessary. Healers adjust. By the end of it, everyone but myself and one of the SMN had at least 2 Vuln stacks.

Still, DNC is quite fun.

Last night I went into MSQ Rol on GNB, got Castrum. Its the usual fare and all that except during the third boss fight when one of the healers decided to rescue me for...I'm not sure why? Mighta been trolling, might have been trying to get me to fight adds even though the boss was going to die in about another 7 or so seconds, I dunno.

Its whatever and I wouldn't even have posted it here...except that about an hour later during another fight which I'm blanking on the exact paticulars of, I'm pretty sure it was Eden 1 on my DRK, a completely different healer also used Rescue on me again for no reason. No boss positioning for it, no mechanics that I needed to stack, or that would warrent a Rescue to avoid. Just...was. Just very strange to have it happen twice in an hour by two different people.

I decided to do Leveling Roulette solo, as healer, and got into lvl 73 dungeon Dohn Mheg.

Comp was PLD (~iLvl 390), SAM, MCH, and me as AST. First pack, PLD doesn't pull any more... okay, I know AST healing sux right now, but I can handle more than 3 mobs... why is nobody interjecting this Fuath (frog)'s long-a** cast? Never seen a buffed Anemone before <.<
I helped with dps, gave cards to our dps, put up Hot on the tank... but they still take a lot of damage, and things don't seem to die, I am running out of oGCD heals... MCH is spamming AoE and they deal a lot of damage, so they are doing fine. Not sure about our melee jobs there...
Well, next pull... still everything dying slowly. Now PLD is pulling big, everything packed up, and they use Hallowed Ground. Fine, time to dps... but why does the MCH have aggro? They sure are not doing single target, so why? AND WHY THE HELL IS EVERYTHING STILL ALIVE? Now, this tank is not using any other CDs except Sheltron, so I have to keep them and the MCH alive. I would've been happy about the fact that they used Clemency... if they would use it at times when they were actually low! Stop giving me heartattacks, and take aggro from MCH!
I asked them in chat why they don't use AoE, yet they said they did? Then why did MCH have aggro? No response.
First boss was a nightmare. Every tank buster taken without any CDs, not even Sheltron (what the hell are they saving it for? 80% HP gone in 1 hit). Then everyone else got hit by the waterspouts (you get a Hot, and you get a Hot, EVERYONE GET A HOT!), at least the 2nd round MCH is dodging them with me.
On to the next slow dying trash pull... I know for a fact that this MCH is doing everything in their might to AoE them down, but I am veeeeeery curious about PLD and SAM... BOTH USING SINGLE TARGET ON F*CKING 10 BEES. THAT'S F*CKING WHY THE MCH GETS AGGRO. AND OFC PLD HAD TO STAND IN AN AOE WHEN THEY JUST DROPED FROM FULL TO 50% AFTER 1 LOAD OF AAs 'CAUSE THEY ARE TOO LAZY TO USE CDs OTHER THAN HG.
I was so f*cking done. I excused myself to the MCH because they were the only one NOT turning this run into hell, and left.

TL;DR: PLD didn't AoE, no CDs other than HG and Sheltron on occasion, SAM didn't AoE either, both lying in chat claiming they did AoE.

Bonus:
Did a run with my DRG in lvl 71 dungeon, and got a PLD, SCH, and BLM. PLD is pulling half packs, but that's fine. I know some struggle with really big ones. First bear and 3 wolves go down, next to 2 mites, web goes down. Next pack was 2 bears and 3 wolves. PLD is AoE'in, and using CDs. They were doing astonishing well for a leveling pug tank. Bless them!
Aaaand they're dead... what? This SCH let the tank die! They didn't put up any Dots, didn't use any Art of War either, their dps was acutally 0. How the F did the tank die?
No rez... BLM and me beat the trash, we wait for the tank who respawned at the start. They wrote in chat: "Sry, my gear is not good enough for this dungeon"... wait a sec... let me check that again... they have iLvl 385 HQ gear, some blue 390-400. And they were doing middle-sized pulls. I told the PLD, that "[your] gear is more than enough, especially for those pulls".
It's our SCH that was watching Nexflix or whatever. They clearly didn't dps or healed, that's for sure.
Nothing from our SCH, complete silence. No excuse, no apology, nothing.
Even at boss fights, they barely healed, and their Dot was everything they contributed to damage...
At the last boss fight, our SCH was probably watching Netflix again, because they died to left/right knock. PLD had no mana and died shortly after, followed by us DPS. (~40% wipe)
Still silence... go in again and clear it after ~30 minutes. PLD got my com. This SCH should've at least given a "sorry" to them, but no...
Even Alphinaud is more trustworthy than this pug SCH.

I'm leveling Astro and it might be my lack of skill but dear lord of moogles whats with these bad tanks? I watch them in SHADOWS lose HATE, I watch them DIE, never popping CDS, trying to do spin dashes in circles like he's goinh thur loop de loops. WHY? I'm at the point I'm thinking about paying a tank from the forums to level with me. ITS SO BAD!!!!
